GoFundMe book Nicole Nodland: What happened?

In 2018 I gave Nicole Nodland 50 UK pounds to get a book of Prince, with pictures she made a photographer. Up until now she never delivered, and kept delaying it.

I just found out that the donation is dissapeared out my GoFundMe account and the project page is gone as well.

What happened exactly? Is she simply running away with all the money she received for her book? That would be awful.

I'm reading disturbing things about this:

I'm sorry this happened to you. It's always risky supporting these campaigns; you have to be prepared to lose your money. Maybe she meant well but just couldn't get it together to complete the project.

This is exactly why I refuse to take part in any of these "fundraisers". I'm just seeing that this happened and I do recall there was a lot of fuckery over the gofundme that Kim Berry did too.

If these people want to sell a book, they need to find their own funding. I don't know them and have no reason at all to trust any of them. I'm sorry for those who've been ripped off shake
