I just changed my mind on another song. I would have added it to my original thread, but it's old and locked.

Initially I did not like the song Illusion, Coma, Pimp and Circumstance from Musicology. I thought it was bland, uninteresting, generic R&B. I didn't think it had a hook at all.

Then I learned that the song is supposedly about real life socialite Doris Duke. That got me interested in listening to the lyrcis (I usually don't care about lyrics). After listenting to it multiple times to take in the lyrics, I noticed that it has some very slick guitar fills/jabs... and I realize those guitar fills/jabs are the hook. I couldn't get them out of my head. So now I really like Illusiion, Coma, Pimp and Circumstance.

The inverse example I used in the original thread is Good Love. When I heard that in the '80s I thought it was the catchiest song in the world. But now I think it sounds really dated -- generic '80s bubblegum pop.

"Time" is a great track that I didn't think too much of when it first came out.

Here are songs I had an initial negative reaction to, and may have often skipped. My opinion may or may not have changed by this point:

Bambi (falsetto annoys me)

Annie Christian (love it)

God (Vocal Verison) (too much squawking and howling)

Life Can Be So Nice (eeehhhh)

Slow Love (just sorta goes on and on after a bit, not terrible though but deleting it would've made room for "Shockadelica")

Arrogance (nope)

Shy (I cut it out of my playlist and resequenced the before & after songs together)

Daddy Pop (as with most Tony M songs, I edited Tony out and it got better)

Push (just sorta overproduced)

Emancipation could easily be two very strong CDs and one amazing CD

Black Sweat (sue me, it's sparse, annoying)

Anything (else) from TRC onward I ain't even touching it.
