What is your favorite incarnation of Possessed? As much as I enjoy both released versions of this song, the one that came out on PR Deluxe and the one that later came out on 1999 SDE, the one that I can't seem to stop playing is the live version from the concert released with the PR Deluxe. To me, it is so much funkier than the studio versions. I just love it. And I also love the segue from Irrisistable Bitch into it. I actually listened to the live version first and had never heard the studio versions circulating but when I did, they just didn't rise above the live version. How about y'all?

Your Favourite Incarnation of Posessed... That sounds like a porn horror movie. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

I am not familair very well with the Purple Rain tour version of Possessed. However I feel that the PR SDE version of Possessed is a work of art, I give it a 10 out of 10. Never cared too much for the 1999 SDE version, I mean I like it but I hear too many other songs in that version. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

The original, always. 84 version is alright, but I rarely listen to it as it's clearly incomplete. Don't care for the live version at all

The 1982 version is masterful. The 1984 version is quirky, but pales in comparison, IMO. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

It used to the be second version but the first version of the tune when included on 1999 Deluxe in such great quality elevated it to my favorite

The live version is over-rated...
The 82 version is THE version.... ik the guitar part is basically the same idea as the synth in 1999, but '82 Posessed is just superb and a hidden classic from a classic era
'84 version isn't anything special... just Prince updating the production and trying to do something else with it since he re-used that hook in 1999
