I am also reminded of Fiddler on the Roof every time I hear Prince's 'Sunrise, Sunset' This was my first thought when i heard the song.

Yeah, I got that the title was the same as the song from Fiddler On The Roof (we sang it in Chorus Class in middle school) but the music sounds nothing like Jesus Christ Superstar. To me, anyway.

Not the main song from Jesus Christ Superstar. Have you watched the whole film?

Seen the film many, many times, seen it performed live numerous times, and sang some of the songs in school. So, yeah.

It wasn’t until I watched it again recently and was listening to the Deliverance EP recently and well, that I recognized the playful resemblance Sunrise Sunset has to JCC. It’s definitely got a showtune sound to it, for starters.

The Big Chill is probably a bad reference here, I just can't think of the exact songs, it's just sort of a style of Joe Cocker kinda bluesy rock.

Yeah I think it's the rock break that kicks in during "Overture" from JCS that sounds like "Touch Me" but I forget.
