Someone here once said that one song from the album, I think this one but I don't recall 4 sure, was from the 80's. Unfortunately this person wouldn't give their sources and, as far as I know, their access to in-house information wasn't proven, so IDK. It could be true or plain BS.

IIRC, engineer Fluff told the P&B podcast that a few songs on the album existed in demo form before he began working on the album, but he didn't have any info about when these songs were started and I don't think he said which ones it was. As he's the only engineer credited on the record, we can't infer anything from engineering credits.

Admitedly, the whole point of 20ten (and Mplsound) was to sound like it's 1982, so we can't infer anything from how the songs "sound" either.

Therefore, until more info surfaces, we can only assume, by default, that all the songs were new.

I thought Future Soul Song was a vault track. The album does have an old school vibe...

I could be thinking of something else, but wasn't "Sticky Like Glue" one of those songs that were clearly visible in the police photos of Paisley Park? I remember seeing some HnR I & II in that pre-vault room. Meaning, it was in a spot where more recent songs and tapes were being piled. I believe the production sounds old school, but the song itself feels much more 2000 and foward.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
