Hey purple fam! 💜 Let me take y’all back to 1982-1984! I archive and preserve musicians outfits and recently got one of the original shirts Prince wore in the Purple Rain movie along with the pants he wore in the 1999, automatic, and let’s pretend we’re married music videos! Now before any keyboard warriors come along, YES this is one of the original shirts and it’s been confirmed by the designer who made it. Also, this came directly from Sheila E and her mother from a charity auction in 2012. ALSO, yes there is one on display at Paisley Park. Often when making a movie they make 2-3 of the same thing Incase something gets damaged! I hope y’all enjoy this!!
