I know this song is evaluating a person's life in the end. But when these lyrics were sung, it made me think that in those last moments before death, when your life flashes before your eyes, he's asking how it actually feels at that last moment. And I thought of his last moment, what did he think and feel.

Was it everything it seemed?

I agree that it is a very beautiful, poignant song, that has seemingly been overlooked by many.

Last December was also the title of an album planned to be released during year two of the NPGMC, but was abandoned. I've always wondered at its contents and if it was a deeper continuation of the song and its concepts.
