Lol. The initial list definitely needed more diversity, but good grief, they jumped the shark. What’s going on is a fine album, but it is barely 2-3 great tracks deep. Message should be measured with the music, but it is one redundant sound after another.

My initial thought is that WGO have a direct line through society today and the police failure. It's in the moment and the absolute right album to highlight as the greatest of all time in 2020. This wouldn't have happened in 1991 pre Rodney King for instance. And in some sense there is nothing wrong with that, however a bit "clickbait" for intellectuals.

It’s painfully transparent, imo. Don’t get me wrong, I know lists are created to encourage conversation and, without question, diaagreement/argument. I’ve always viewed Rolling Stone on a different level than buzzfeed. I’ll just say I’m a little surprised and disappointed. And that’s coming from someone that appreciates Kanye’s music and additions to the list.

Overproduced? many people could say the same about PR, WGO is a very good album, but the best album ever? no way.

Purple Rain is probably the only album where I'm not tempted to hit the skip button.

And what's that supposed to mean
