Serious question: When did Prince sleep?

Ok, I've listened 2 all of Princes catalog, concerts etc that I could get my hand on.

I'm a musician so I know how much time it takes 2 make a single song, in terms of the number of tracks, arrangemnet, production, mixing, etc......My question is, with the amount of recorded Prince music, when did this man sleep?

My thoughts exactly. When did he actually sleep?

And can we please now state that he was the hardest man working in business, whatever the saying goes for James Brown.
Godlike stamina, without any equals.

Some people can get by with only 3-5 hours of sleep a night if that while still being extremely productive. I have a friend that's been working 2 jobs 40+ hours a week while being in school full time. One job is nights, the other is morning. Now she's tutoring as well. She's so fascinating to me. When I ask her how much she sleeps she's like 3-4 hours a night. Crazy. Gets straight As too. And drinks and smokes like a fiend. I'm in awe of her honestly. I imagine prince was the same way.

She will go faint sooner or later. It's not healthy.

You forget touring, rehearsing, soundchecking, aftershows, clubbing... The guy was unstoppable! I have read that one of the demands Prince made for hotel rooms was that the bedroom was totally darkened so that he could get a few hours of sleep in the middle of the day. I guess he lived like a cat: no difference between night and day with a few cat naps.

I was surprised he remained so youthful-looking while not sleeping very much.

AND I'm still amazed by the number of photo sessions he posed for in between ALL of what you mentioned. Including the wardrobe design, styling, and art direction. I can't think of another artist who gifted us with as many looks/eras.

Early morning til noon according to Mayte in this interview:

https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/princes-ex-wife-mayte-garcia-5874346

With a music studio and nightclub inside the marital home, their daily routine was a world turned upside down, going to bed at 6 or 7am and not surfacing until past midday.

“Sleep is over-rated,” laughs Mayte. “When you’re creating, travelling and having the best time of your life the last thing on your mind is sleep.

“Often we would play an arena then there would be an aftershow, and afterwards you’re not tired because you’ve got so much adrenaline going."

He was human, he slept, just like every other human. He may not have slept as much as some, but he slept.
