I’m really impressed that no leak happened so far. Despite my deep search, I found nothing….

I preorderd on Amazon too and they told me that I will be charged once it ships. I plan to wait until Friday to update the billing so that I'm not charged right away. Estimated delivery date is 9/29/2020. I remember getting Rainbow Children one day after the release so I went ahead and preorderd a copy from my local record store and they said it was on order to be delivered there on Friday and they will call to let me know when it arrives. Might be a coulple more bucks than I was willing to spend but its better than waiting to see what Amazon does.

I've just had courier tracking to arrive by 6pm tomorrow....EXCITED!!!!!

And that way you will also support your local recordstore, so they can keep on going. Thats why I ordered it right away at my recordstore. Only two proper recordstores left in Rotterdam for new releases.

Indeed..indeed. I did the same thing with 1999 SDE and literally when I walked in the store they already had it gift wrapped for me so it does help support. So excited for FRIDAY!

Sometimes pre-orders of high value items will be sent via courier with a specified delivery date. So they might be shipped now for delivery on Friday. Sometimes they just ship early to make sure it arrives for the launch day, so it might arrive tomorrow.

Exactly. If Clare did strings for this track then surely Prince had that version in the vault. It's hardly Frankenstein if that's the case.

but the frankensteining comes into play when realizing that, as far as we know, the fischer strings were done (to the later, revised version of crucial) in january 1987, therefore why would he go back to an original recording of the track he did in september and stick the 87' strings on them when he had the lyrically revised version that he was apparently more happy with? of course, if at any point in time he DID go back and add the strings himself, it's fair game to be released and howe needs to communicate that to us somehow.
