Cd Set, dissapointed its not in a box like 1999 so it will have to be stored in another room, and the prince is probbably $100 to much.

Do you listen to both formats? Or do you keep one unopened for collecting purposes?
OP: Ive got the vinyl (the 7inch singles set should be arriving in a few hours so im HYPE) "You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

Best purchase of 2020 for me has been a near-Mint copy of Mazarati on vinyl (sawcut, minor edge wear, otherwise pristine). Sounds fantastic on the wreck-a-playa

Streaming/downloading is boring.
I will admit, i don't listen to physical all the time, but i love to open, watch the packaging, add to my physical collection and I HAVE TO listen on vinyl/cd for at least ONE TIME.
Then i usually listen on Spotify/Mp3 and i skip the filler songs.
I also use cd's on my car.

I just don’t see the point in buying physical NEW releases In This day an age, especially compact disc. It’s just a waste of plastic and paper Bitch this ain't the movies

Ok I can understand vinyl, you can’t really beat the sound imo. But cd I just don’t get. It’s outdated and overpriced Personnaly with regards SOTT deluxe i’d Like something like a branded memory stick containing hi res digital files and a digital copy of the booklet [Edited 8/25/20 3:32am] Bitch this ain't the movies

Do you store your digital music on your phone and/or computer? What happens if you lose your phone or your pc goes t*ts up? What happens if you lose your memory stick with all of that music on (if that's what you use to store them)? I always have an actual physical release in my collection for just this reason. Even the albums that I have downloaded (Chocolate Invasion, etc.) I make a physical disc of just in case. I'm certainly not going to pay for a music service that could just up and disappear from the web either.

Vinyl for sure...didn't miss out on 1999 SDE and I won't be missing out on this one either.

' I store it on portable hard drives/memory sticks with backup copies on a different HD/mem stick, and just transfer stuff to my music player as and when I feel like listening to it.
If the worst happened and it all somehow got lost it wouldnt be the end of the world. It would be easier to replace a digital collection than it would be a physical one, which could just as easily be wiped out in a house fire or some other disaster
Backing up to a memory stick is no different to burning to a cd, or even a pressed disc. Its just quicker, more convenient and less wasteful.

If you have multiple backups, including one in the cloud, I would argue that is safer than having a physical copy that can be damaged and that is it for that. But ultimately we are at the point that as long as you are cautious about your media either method can last you your entire lifetime so IMO it is just whatever the individual likes the feeling of more [Edited 8/25/20 16:48pm]

Will the vinyl come with a download code for flac files?

Ironically while out driving yesterday I pulled up behind what I thought was just a regular armored vehicle but when I looked closer I saw the words 'Iron Mountain' on numerouse decals on it, which is where the vault of Prince music is stored. Now, if I could that's where I would keep all of my physical copies of my Prince collection.

Likely a code for mp3s. 1999 and SOTT 7" Singles set both came with download codes for mp3s, not flac.

CD Version, it's the only version I can afford rn.

I'll buy the CD version, because i dislike digital. All those servers that are needed for people to stream their music. Not only keeping them working costs a lot of energy, but fabricating them..................... Produced, Arranged, Composed & Performed by PRINCE

- All SDEditions, but digital. - Vinyl SDE first for home. CD SDE later for the office. Only the full package, the complete extended released packages. Don't see the need to have these 'smaller' releases, to have everything tripple or quadriple, just because it is out there... I'm not that fan. - I don't wear T-shirts of Prince either, don't drink coffecups with all things Prince on it. Have no posters or anything 'visible Prince' laying around. certainly nothing purple. Weird huh. ... (Although I'm a liar now...) A year agao ZARA clothing company released some classy simple Prince stuff. And I coulnd't resist. It was the first time a T-shirt looked 'classy' enough to me without the (horrible colour purple, lol). It is plain black, with a small embroidered 'Prince' word in gold glitter, a discreet and fine design, like a designer t-shirt. I barely wear it though. Too hipster to let anyone see i'm a (huge) Prince fan. Yeah I know. Bloody silly snobbish me. Besides I'm too old to act like a teenager. )) Bash me now ! -

Digital streaming for listening day to day.
Vinyl for the collection, I like records and I will listen to it on vinyl even though for a big set like this, ti is kinda inconvenient.
Can't bring myself to buy a CD in 2020 though, I don't think we have any CD player in the house anymore!

Weird huh. No not weird. I dont need or care for all that stuff either. Maybe when I was younger. Now I'm fine with just his music. But I do have 2 shirts. 1 was a gift last Christmas. I've yet to wear it I will take my place, In the great below

I pre ordered the Super Deluxe CD set. Honestly I'd be fine with digital. The only thing that makes me want the physical copy is the dvd. Heck it would save me like $70 bucks buying the digital I will take my place, In the great below
