Funny (to me) how this song completely escaped flew under my radar for years, despite having listened to Emancipation repeatedly... For some reason, I just never paid much attention to it, and it always kinda escaped my attention.

These days, it's one of my favorite Prince tracks, and I listen to it almost every day. Feels like it has kind of a Shuggie Otis vibe, and there's no other song like it in his catalogue.

Love how Prince songs can reveal themselves after months or years. And it goes to show how we respond to a song can reveal less about the song itself than where we are at the time we hear it.

Anyway, a couple years ago there was a thread, in which Militant mentioned the possible existence of a remix. I'm not sure whether that was ever confirmed. Has anyone heard this? If so, what's it like?

Yes....very underrated.

In 2002 Prince had a afterparty at Nighttown (not the aftershow from some months later) where he showcased some songs from ONA Live and had some people from the crowd dance on stage to it.
One of the people on stage reported it later and was browsing through the DJ's record crate on stage and said it had a White Mansion promo 12" (like the other Emacipation Promo 12 inches) backed with Dreaming About U but he didn't mentipon it was a remix. Maybe that version is on there?

Bumping this in the hopes that Militant will notice and let us know if he ever found an answer to this question.
