Hmm. I'd say Lovesexy if it also came with the shelved Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic album, but it seems like the way these super deluxe editions are going that Rave would end up on a Batman super deluxe.

Gimme Controversy. I really want a full version of "Hard to Get '81" and I love the outtakes we know from that time period ("Strange Way" especially!).

Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Anything recorded 1984-86 would far and away be my top choice (SOTT, Parade, ATWIAD in that order). Having those vault tracks in perfect quality at the pinnacle of his powers would be the musical highlight of this decade, almost 40 years later.

/

I'd next do Dirty Mind because I think there's a lot in there that isn't known that could be FIRE.

/

I'd follow that up with Lovesexy to give us The Black Album. A Lovesexy tour concert would also be a highlight.

/

The Gold Experience could be cool if they could give us either the full The Dawn as originally conceived (kind of like Brian Wilson did with "Smile"), or all the tracks that would have made up the Dawn. We also could get The Undertaker tracks and Glam Slam Ulysses and studio versions of Days of Wild and The Ride. I'd also really love those Come songs as they were originally recorded without the overdubs and "Poem" intros. I do think this box set would probably do the most to resucitate this era of his career kind of like the recent box set of Dylan's Christian phase.

/

For You and S/T would be welcome, but I'm not exactly sure what we would get. That's a personal favorite era, so anything unknown would be icing! Same goes for Controversy.

/

A Batman box set could be great but only if they also gave us the tracks without any Batman dialogue and all the tracks related to the originally conveived Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic. That way we could now hear what a real late 80s Prince album could have been.

/

Now if we could get Diamonds & Pearls and Symbol Album with Tony M.'s raps completely removed from all tracks, I'm all in! Otherwise, I'm good.

/

Graffiti Bridge always needed to give us something less than what it was, so no need for a deluxe edition there.

Love Symbol album and/or The Gold Experience are the two I’m hoping for.

I think the most realistic one to come next will be Parade, just because there is still plenty of 1985 era material that could be included on demo disks like the 1999 Deluxe, and there is a wealth of great extended versions that can be highlighted.

hmm... what I want? TGE for sure, that album SCREAMS to be remastered plus the bonus tracks/outtakes would be amazing.

But reality is, the most likely to get it is D&P (sold more copies), followed by Parade, then ATWIAD.

After that I wouldn't hold your breath for any super deluxe releases after that, they weren't big sellers than and I can't see WB or Sony but that much into it. Just my opinion.

For You or For You and Prince combined.

But for Gawd's sake put it in decent packaging. The one Nite alone issue package is not much better than a Girl Scout cookie box and mine is already falling apart.

The qualityof the package should do justice to the quality of the music.

.

The Lovesexy Tour Rehearsals alone would span 10 discs.

Add the album.

Add TBA.

Add B-sides, 12"-versions, etc

Add some outtakes.

Add a full liveshow or aftershow.

17+ discs?

Tora

My brain tells me Parade would make most business sense since it has a number one single, Cobo Hall Birthday show, and a bunch of vault material.
However, my heart says The Gold Experience. That era is so much neglected by most, I think, and a super deluxe treatment would help introduce many casual fans to 90's Prince.

I don't really see how they could untangle the whole "come/gold" era into
the respective albums as such. those songs swapped so much between the
various versions and tracklists and everything was recorded over the same
chunk of time, pretty much.

it would be great to have them as a boxed set, Come / Gold and all of the
songs that ended up on CB97 plus all the outtakes and many alternates.

Please add one of the Paisley Park nightly concerts of circa late 1994...

I'm just curious as to what's out there. There's a few single edits and disco mixes that are worth mopping up in the same place but on the more interesting side we have

* piles of known demos from 1977/78
* I assume the Capri Theater shows were recorded?.
* There must be hours of rehearsal tapes of him with the band.
* Are there Grand Central demos or recordings of live shows in existence?
* I Got Over It appeared out of nowhere a few years back, there may be lots more, he spent a long time in LA recording For You. Maybe alternate mixes of tracks as well.
* There's talk of radio jingles he wrote as a teenager, they might be somewhere.
* various raw 94 east songs he's on, the Lewis Connection song he's on

any of the above might lead to lots of tracks, or very few indeed, I'd love to know.

Yes MF yes, and his versions of the Exodus tracks.
To get the different versions of Come, Days Of Wild, Angie etc would be a dream for me...
.
Highly unlikely of course sad

Yes I think this would be the only way to go. Since they can't reissue TGE because of the legal issues with Most Beautiful, a 'The Dawn' boxset featuring alternate takes and outtakes would make a great substitute and provide hours of pleasureable, cowbell-free listening.

The Gold Experience, with all the unreleased tracks and alternate versions and mixes from the time period.

Love Symbol would particularly interest me if also packaged with live soundboard and video from the accompanying Act 1 and 2 tours.
