Funny that Shep Pettibone came up. I just bought his personal copy of the 1994 Black Album promo vinyl. No lie. He kept it in beautiful condition, though Side 1 has a somewhat nasty warp.

Hey, wait a minute! "♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥ ♥♥♥" given in due time to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ could totally be "I Need a Man" given to Bonnie Raitt, perhaps?

I think the clue is in the wording ‘given in due time’. Wasn't the Bonnie Raitt album on which I Need A Man appeared Nick of Time?[/quote]

I Need A Man was never released by Bonnie Raitt, Sadly. I'm pretty sure that none of the songs they worked in together were ever released. Her next album after they worked together in 87 was Nick of Time.

Btw. I'm a bit scared and excited how the reviews will be comprised in an all score during initial release. I think it will be unparalleled. And yes, that includes re-releases of The Beatles albums etc etc. But the content inside this packaging, oh mama!

Ha. I wish. I got a partial refund from the seller due to the warp. And my level of relief about the partial refund speaks to how rich I am not.

Where’s Rebirth O’ the Flesh? I would think that song at least would have been a no brainer. That song was the 1st song on Camillie & Crystal Ball. eek

.

Considering that bootleggers have released versions that were actually mixed by Prince and have released tons of live recordings that remain unreleased: nope.

The bootleg CD version that I have of Computer Blue (Hallway speech) sounds better than the one on PR Deluxe.

You're right , especially about live music. The 2000's era alone was golden era of his live shows and spaned 16 years alone.

I am really stoked at the thought of a live 1987 show included on the CDs - a proper and recent mix of that tour will be amazing if the quality of the 1999 deluxe set live CD was any indication

EXACTLY! I was fortunate enough to attend EVERY era. Except the 1999 era. That taught me a valuable lesson @ a VERY young age not too trust ANYONE ever again.

Is that a different drum kit or did they retouch the photo with an alternate colour?
