It doesn't seem like it's the shorter Utrecht show

77 Intro / Sign O The Times
78
79
80 Housequake
81
82
83 Take The A Train / Pacemaker (presumably ICNTTPOYM)
84
85
86 If I Was Your Girlfriend
87
88
89
90 1999
91
92 Kiss
93
94 Beautiful Night

Track 93 implies that Forever In My Life is part of the live sequence.

Forever in my life would be 91. The Cross would be 93.

If the list is legit, and 'Four' is track 85, then the show is either:

Paris - 15/6

Utrect - 20/6

Utrect - 22/6

Paris would have better acoustics and it wan't raining (indoors), but who knows.

and i am wondering if perhaps Questlove was consulted on tracklist too? i'm sure he'd have an opinion, and is a "fan" fan. he knew exactly what he was doing during that dj set...

It does show. You're consistently trying to paint the estate as seat of your pants bumbling idiots, but that's not the case. They know things you don't know. Questlove having it and giving a sneak preview is not something they're unaware of. Quest would not burn that bridge and the estate obviously gave him a copy.

if you could just pass your history class, baby, life would be all right.

Totally viable. Though I am not always a fan of Quest's tastes so those crucial missing tracks will be very telling. So far, I can count more than 8 or whatever tracks that should be on this set more than, say, two versions of CB.

Can I ask a dumb question? If we are thinking Questlove has access to the set before anyone else does,

.

He likely does, due to him being someone who'd help promote the set. Plenty of other people will also have at least heard this set. Paul from SDE had already heard 1999SD when it was announced and had IIRC an interview with Michael Howe in the can and a track-by-track preview. Just like movie reviewers get advance screenings, just like TV reviewers get episodes weeks in advance.

.

are we then saying he was given access by the estate? Would that then seem likely if that same estate is making him remove Facebook Live posts of sets with Prince's music featured?

.

This often involves software recognizing songs it its db. It's automated.

.

Holy shit!! That was an extremely informative and respectful response. No yelling or calling me lazy. I'm impressed. Thank you. Appreciate it. Seriously... touched touched touched

I wanna know what the hell that 7 min version of Strange Relationship is. Could it be a remix? It says 1987 so perhaps a 12" mix was done for a potential single. Still surprised to see a 7" mix of CB was done - perhaps a tight little pop dirge was hiding in the epic 10+ min versions.

Any guesses as to what's up with "Nevaeh Ni Ecalp (02:33)"? The segue on Dream Factory was less than a minute long, so I'm curious as to what this is and why it's 2 and a half minutes

Isn't there a Lisa version AND a Prince version?

That's A Place In Heaven - both of which are represented on this tracklist. The title backwards refers to an intro track with loops and samples of various Dream Factory songs on a bed of A Place In Heaven reversed.

 Thank you. I saw it the next time I read it.

The DF version of Strange Relationship is on there previously in the list.

And since DF was a double album, it didn't have a 7" mix of CB. Both these should be new to most of us.

Thank you...his sly smile at the end, and then he says, ‘shhhhh’. I watched the set on Instagram and you couldn’t see the names of the songs (as usual). No wonder he kept saying to switch over to YouTube. I usually have both on but I didn’t this time. Later on when people were making requests he seemed exasperated ‘cause he knew he’d already thrown some stuff out there. He said he’d already given us some stuff at the beginning. He even said he couldn’t give us more ‘cause he didn’t want to get in trouble (this was in reference to a version of Cloreen Baconskin that he supposedly has). He knew what he was doing. Anyway, that was a nice surprise last night.

Hi Urine. On this occasion they appear to know as much as we do. They took the list straight from this thread. They've put Teacher Teacher (1986) as it appears here in the thread. Check QL's stream. Teacher Teacher is actually marked as (1985 version).

I have a strong feeling we still don't have a complete list and here is the math:

The leaked Questlove list shows that tracks 31 - 76 would be vault tracks. That means 45 tracks total. That list has holes and only show 35 track names.

The list posted by Violet Reality also has only 36 tracks listed of the possible 45 leaving rough 9 tracks left not accounted for....

Again, THRILLED at what we will get but hoping we have at least 9 other tracks not yet announced.

#77 onwards make up the live set so the 6:15 Hot Thing is not a studio version. It will presumably include the organ intro as per the SOTT movie, hence the extended length.

Based on this list there are 8 tracks that have yet to be announced. Seeing how this tracklist is primarily being placed in chronological order it would make sense because there is very little listed that was recorded from October through December 1986. That is where the gap is on this list. In the later part of 86.

What are we missing from those later sessions?

Coco Boys

When The Dawn Of The Morning Comes

Witness 4 The Prosecution (Camile remake)

Telepathy (demo)(possibly to be held for an ORIGINALS collection?)

Rebirth Of The Flesh

Yo Mister (demo)(possibly to be held for an ORIGINALS collection?)

Cosmic Day

Walkin' In Glory

Pony Ride

Wally

If you take out the two demos that could be on an ORIGINALS collection you have 8 SONGS RIGHT THERE that still could be on this collection!

- 31 Teacher Teacher (1986 version) (3:07)
- 32 All My Dreams (07:23)
- 33 Can I Play With U? (featuring…) (6:29)
- 34 It's A Wonderful Day (Original Version) (03:47)
- 35 Strange Relationship (Original Version) (06:41)
- 36 Visions (02:18)
- 37 The Ballad Of Dorthy Parker (with horns) (04:56)
- 38 Witness 4 The Prosecution (03:59)
- 39 Power Fantastic (Live In Studio) 07:18
- 40 And That Says What? (01:50)
- 41 Love And Sex (04:11)
- 42 A Place In Heaven (Prince Vocal) (2:57)
- 43 Colors (01:01)
- 44 Crystal Ball (7" Mix) (3:29)
- 45 Big Tall Wall (Version 1) (5:58)
- 46 Nevaeh Ni Exalp (02:33)
- 47 In A Large Room With No Light (03:27)
- 48 Train (4:22)
- 49 It Ain't Over 'Til The Fat Lady Sings 2:21
- 50 Eggplant (Original Prince Vocal) (5:18)
- 51 Everybody Want What They Don't Got (2:08)
- 52 Bianche (5:36)
- 53 Soul Psychodelicide (12:36)
- 54 The Ball (4:22)
- 55 Adonsi and Bathsheba (5:27)
- 56 Forever In My Life (Early Vocal Studio R) (06:25)
- 57 Crucial (Alternate Lyrics) (6:14)

- 58

- 59

- 60
- 61 It Be's Like That Sometimes (03:19)
- 62 Emotional Pump (04:59)

- 63

- 64

- 65

- 66

- 67
- 68 Promise To Be True (3:37)
- 69 Jealous Girl (Version 2) (04:52)
- 70 There's Something I Like About Being Your Fool (3:48)
- 71 Big Tall Wall (Version 2) (5:46)
- 72 A Place In Heaven (Lisa Vocal) (2:45)
- 73 Wonderful Day (12" mix) (07:34)

Besides that there are still other tracks missing yes from the earlier sessions. Those include:

Conversation Piece

Funny Love

Twosday

And How (Demo)

Get On Up

Frustration

Boy U Bad

Baby Go-Go

Data Bank

Can't Stop This Feeling I Got

We Can Funk

Girl 'O' My Dreams

IF you add those 8 to the track list it COULD theoretically look like this:

- 31 Teacher Teacher (1986 version) (3:07)
- 32 All My Dreams (07:23)
- 33 Can I Play With U? (featuring…) (6:29)
- 34 It's A Wonderful Day (Original Version) (03:47)
- 35 Strange Relationship (Original Version) (06:41)
- 36 Visions (02:18)
- 37 The Ballad Of Dorthy Parker (with horns) (04:56)
- 38 Witness 4 The Prosecution (03:59)
- 39 Power Fantastic (Live In Studio) 07:18
- 40 And That Says What? (01:50)
- 41 Love And Sex (04:11)
- 42 A Place In Heaven (Prince Vocal) (2:57)
- 43 Colors (01:01)
- 44 Crystal Ball (7" Mix) (3:29)
- 45 Big Tall Wall (Version 1) (5:58)
- 46 Nevaeh Ni Exalp (02:33)
- 47 In A Large Room With No Light (03:27)
- 48 Train (4:22)
- 49 It Ain't Over 'Til The Fat Lady Sings 2:21
- 50 Eggplant (Original Prince Vocal) (5:18)
- 51 Everybody Want What They Don't Got (2:08)
- 52 Bianche (5:36)
- 53 Soul Psychodelicide (12:36)
- 54 The Ball (4:22)
- 55 Adonsi and Bathsheba (5:27)
- 56 Forever In My Life (Early Vocal Studio R) (06:25)
- 57 Crucial (Alternate Lyrics) (6:14)

- 58 COCO BOYS

- 59 WHEN THE DAWN OF THE MORNING COMES

- 60 WITNEYSS FOR THE PROSECUTION (CAMILLE REMAKE)
- 61 It Be's Like That Sometimes (03:19)
- 62 Emotional Pump (04:59)

- 63 REBIRTH OF THE FLESH

- 64 COSMIC DAY

- 65 WALKIN' IN GLORY

- 66 PONY RIDE

- 67 WALLY
- 68 Promise To Be True (3:37)
- 69 Jealous Girl (Version 2) (04:52)
- 70 There's Something I Like About Being Your Fool (3:48)
- 71 Big Tall Wall (Version 2) (5:46)
- 72 A Place In Heaven (Lisa Vocal) (2:45)
- 73 Wonderful Day (12" mix) (07:34)

That is 42 vault tracks or 3 discs of 14 tracks each.

I wonder what is the significance of Prince and 3:19. The unreleased song on the tracklist, 'It Be's Like that Sometimes' is 3:19. Prince had a song called 319. Da Bang from Crystal Ball is 3:19 long!

Maybe, he thought that was a perfect length for a track!

I'm with AaronReturn2005, though. Where the heck is 'Rebirth of the Flesh'? It should be on here!

I’m assuming that you’re joking but incase you’re not, of course there’s a few songs that are 3:19 in length because there’s many hundreds of songs recorded and only 60 seconds in a minute so pick a time between 3 and 6 minutes (a typical song length range) and every duration will likely have multiple examples. If you can show that 3:19 is represented at a significantly higher rate than other durations, then we can discuss if it’s intentional. Gotta show that it’s a thing first.

I think it's 10.

.

#01-16 would be the Original Album

#17-30 the Edits / Remixes / B-sides (finishing with an edit version of ICNTTPOYM)

.

#77-94 would be the the Live disc (starting with Intro/SOTT and finishing with IGBABN), leaving

#31-76 as the Vault tracks (starting with Teacher Teacher (1986 Version) and finishing with Strange Relationship (1987 Sh...) whatever that is)

.

so I think we're currently missing 58, 59, 60, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 74 and 75 of the vault tracks.

interesting, but I'm not sure that they would only include a 7" mix of Crystal Ball
when they include both versions of A Place In Heaven (well, 3 actually).

there must be another version of Crystal Ball they could release, like the one with
wendy & lisa and the 'purple underground' speech. I'd love to have that one on it.

kinda makes sense not to include the songs on Crystal Ball 98 I guess, but it would
still be cool to have them without the weird editing/remixing, in their original form.

oh well. as long as there are at least 8 songs I've never heard, i'm fine, i think.

Fucking hell. Surely we can all agree this is going to be an extraordinary document of one human being’s incomparable proclivity and genius. Imagine you’d never heard any of these songs before. The fact we’re bickering about the inclusion of other great songs from this era beyond these ones says everything. The truth is, Prince - empirically, objectively and quite demonstrably - was clearly the greatest pop musician of all time. It’s absolutely astonishing and rather scary that all this came out the mind of one person within the space of one year. To think I used to laugh at imago’s defaced pictures of him on this forum. No wonder Prince was pissed off with us. He thought even his most hardcore fans saw him as a laughing stock. He deserved more respect. Still does. Michael Howe has the best job in the world as far as I’m concerned. And I’m sure he’s well aware of the responsibility in curating the legacy of a true genius for the ages. We’re the luckiest music fans in the world, so stop bloody complaining.
