How Producer Ted Templeman Angered Prince

Prince's need for complete artistic freedom was, famously, a part of his music from the beginning. As producer Ted Templeman realized, even suggesting that he cede control was enough to anger Prince something fierce.

I already posted this, and then it got moved to... wait for it... "Music: Non-Prince", because that's where you'd put an article about someone talking about their CONVERSATION WITH PRINCE. https://prince.org/msg/8/462928

Luv4U looks for the slightest reason to move anything.

I think the least they could do is fully explain their reasons for moving the thread.

You seem like a pretty astute guy there, Bort. You didn't perhaps notice any MaJor differences in the delivery between the two threads? Maybe Just one difference in what each respective thread-starter chose as the leading headline?

I could spell it out but I don't want this thread to be banished into oblivion, too... but from what I've observed here at the org, you don't have to be the Michael Jordan or Samuel L. Jackson of posting to see mentioning a certain he-who-shall-not-be-named will immediately get your thread sent to the other dimension with no exceptions, even if it's presented in a hand-written note penned by Prince himself with accompanying audio of him saying it in his own words....

You gotta be more on the ball than that, this isn't a senior living MahJong tournament, this is a MaJor Prince site we're trying to maintain here....

You can "Say Say Say" what you want about how "Bad" you think this automatic move policy is, it's not "Black or White" why it has been determined that however "Thriller" you may think your topic of choice, it's just not forum appropriate and sometimes your threads will have to "Beat It" as far as the main Prince forum is concerned... Take note, "Remember the Time" as it pertains to future threads, and take a long hard look at "The Man in the Mirror" before you "Wanna Be Startin' Something" as far as the hard-working Org staff is concerned. "The Way You Make Me Feel" and everyone else feel is irrelevant, mistakes are often "Human Nature" and while "You Are Not Alone" in these occasional missteps, I assure you I and every other member of the Org will always "Rock with You" in whatever forum your threads may land...

Just "Do the Bartman" and we will "Jam" on accordingly.
