Do you think Prince stop doing splits long after he was advise to ?

Last time Prince did splits. was during 2001 HitNRun Tour.Just a year latter he never done it again. Do you think Prince ignored his hip problems and did splits until maybe doctors advised him not to or he will be a criple?
splits were 1 of the essencial components of Prince act so i guess it was very hard 4 him to. Stop doing it

Interesting that he stopped doing them after 2001? Is that fact? Cause he would've only been 43 at the time

Geez, why are you guys so nasty? So what that someone doesn't type words perfectly or correctly at times, it's called a typo for God's sake, and there's no need to be so rude and nasty to others about it.

what is so "nasty" about either comment???...good lord, there are some over-sensitive, thin-skinned people here...correcting someone's errors, or making light of them, is being "NASTY"?... toughen up, the WORLD is a "nasty" place...

You know very well what was so "nasty" about the comments. You were belittling and making fun of someone for spelling errors, not making light of them. And instead of 'toughing up" why don't you "be kinder and more considerate of others" because yes, although the WORLD is a "nasty" place, doesn't mean you have to be a nasty person in the WORLD, and treat others that way.

we dont agree here...nothing "nasty" about what happened...if youre gonna present anything in any kind of public forum, be prepared for critique...and if you know you cant spell or use proper sentence structure, seek help...and if you still get it wrong, dont be a helpless baby when someone corrects you...be accountable for your own errors, and dont play the victim role...

‘ONLY been 43’

43 is old to be doing all that, especially at the rate he did them. Nonstop concerts, rehearsals, etc. maybe he even did it for fun sometimes. And he worked nonstop and was hella fast-paced so perhaps he missed warm-ups before he got into it.

Prince should have probably stopped doing them after around 1993-94
He didn’t need to do those types of dances anymore. He was a good improvising dancer anyways.

"And if you know you can't spell or use proper sentence structure.....seek help?" Come on, it's not that serious! Not being able to "spell or use proper sentence structure" is not the end of the world, and there are far more things in life that are so much more important.....lighten up! And now, in the words of Forrest Gump...."that's all I have to say about that!"...Now back to the topic at hand, and I apologize to all you guys for straying off topic.

Seriously? This is unneccesary hall monitoring, just berating people without adding anything to discussion. Apparently a lot of us need to "seek help".

Someone is trying to bring some life to the org with a Prince topic.

Do you know when Prince stopped doing splits? That is the focus of the discussion. Contribute or don't.

Wow, don't know if I want to dive into this "lively" discussion or not. Well, here are my two cents. A good friend's daughter took dance classes all through jr high and high school. She was very young, and still had problems with her hips trying to pop out of their joints when she danced and did splits. Her mom, my friend had problems with her own hip joints doing this in her 40's and she was NOT a dancer! (A painter & artist that illustrates childrens books)

So, for what it is worth, sometimes your genetics predispose you to certain things like this. Let us also keep in mind that P had a slight (though beautiful) frame for a man. Not exactly built like an upright freezer! It may have felt fine early in his career when he first started doing them, but not many people in their 30's and 40's keep on doing them. I know the haters are going to jump on me for including this, but it you do believe he had a long-standing opiate problem, it would have just exacerbated the problem.

Still makes me sad to think on these things................

Good morning children...take a look out your window, the world is falling...

But who CARES? People here are from different countries and even if they aren't, who gives a shit if a word is not spelled correct, if a comma isn't placed just perfect, or if someone edited their posts 10 times? C'mon this nonsense needs to stop.

Yeah it takes a toll. Especially wearing those heels through every decade. I was considering how James Brown continued his splits past 43, but him and P each performed through a variety of different circumstances e.g differing heels, health n genetics, so you can’t really compare the two.

Edit: just realised a few people mentioned these points already in this thread so sorry for any repetition
