My top 5 are

The best extended versions were those that added new musical ideas to the formula. The long versions of Hot Thing and Little Red Corvette, for example, are great fun to listen to, but ultimately they're just a bigger helping of what you already get on the album releases. My nomination for the best extended version would be Thieves in the Temple because it completely transcends the album cut, transforms it and makes it something new, epic even, yet somehow does so without losing the song's essence.

It has to be "Kiss" for me.

This one made me search for all the other 12"s released beforehand.

Afterwards, honestly, the next best "extention" was "Come On"

So I had to go check the time on the Crystal Ball version, pulled up my Windows Media Player only to find out that the version here didn't even 'rip' when I copied it from the cd disc! Track numbers go 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10, completely skipping 9! I wonder if this is something to do with the copyright? Makes no sense to me. So, now I'm going to have to buy the digital version from Amazon...... neutral

LOL no, CD's don't skip ripping a song for copyright. All my CB stuff ripped just fine. Try it again. Unless you just wanna keep buying the same thing over and over.

Well, I did get the soundtrack version from Amazon. It's about 10 seconds longer than the version on Crystal Ball.

My favorite es Mountains, the album versions falls short comparing it with the extended version, which is pure joy. Shockadelica is another one, great funk jam. Pop Life (UK version) is another of my favorites.

Also, let's be clear: there is only one version of Alexa de Paris. Can it really be "extended" if there's no "regular" version of it?
