If indeed Prince was ill (terminally) around the end he certainly would not have wanted to go out lying in a hospital bed. I think he took the pain until he couldn't anymore.

Terminally ill??? Can we stop?? The guy was human. He had faults. He had weaknesses just like the rest of us. Yes, he was my musical hero too. I cried when he passed. I still feel a level of sadness about it to this day. But fuck...he wasn't murdered. He didn't have some illness. He didn't know the "end" was coming. He was an addict, and like all addicts, they run the risk of OD'ing. Simple and plain. It's a shitty reality. But a reality none-the-less.

This shit again?

No, he didn't work himself to death.

He "took pills himself to death".

im so sure you were there when he "died"...and you saw him take the pills...uh-huh...yeah, that shit again...

i'm sorry... do you or anyone else have actual physical proof (audio/video/witnesses) to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was murdered? Because I am sure the DA of CC would love to have it.

That case is not on point. It is an absentee voter case, no where near a autopsy/HIPPA case.

Thats all.

Do you have any legal background. The Montgomery Ward case is about revealing government data for oversight of officals. The public has an interest in that. If the ME came to a wrong conclusion in the most high profile case of a public figure that is in the public interest and a reason to open the report before the designated 20 years.

The autopsy kept sealed for 30 years is governed by MN state law not HIPPA.

Forget it. It doesn't matter anyway. I don't need the autopsy, but other hear may need it.

Urine Toxicology (High opiates) is in Investigtive reports.

There will be no release of autopsy per Minnesota law. (for 30 years). Please stop asking for that.

The inaccuracies here are infuriating.

I just want to say one thing. I know I post alot about this topic and I want to assure everyone, including the Mods, that I really do not know what happened to Prince. I am not trying to push the AIDS diagnosis at all. I do think he had some kind of wasting disease, period. It could have been cancer, who knows?

I am trying to keep the medical part of this discussion as accurate as I know how to. I have felt that there have been important parts of the investigtive reports inaccessible to us so I do question that.

There, IMO, have also been many with little medical background making medically inaccurate statements and taking a crowd with them.

i just hate to see that, it is offensive to me. I am a practicing RN with 25+ years experience, mostly in critical care and case management. I do know how to read labs, I also understand why an MD would order certain tests and what they are looking for. I am not an MD but have to work critically with MD's and am expected to talk to them intelligently. If I do not comprehend my patient's diagnosis and reason for treatment, I am reprimanded.

You learn alot in those years and much is expected, especially in critical care.

Re: Toxicology, that can mean bloodwork, urine, gastric contents etc.

In the 'business' urine toxicology is called UTox.

Something else...Dr S knew that Prince had an addiction, but he still ordered additional tests. He was likely looking for other issues besides drug addiction, ie., cancer, kidney disease, HIV etc.to see if he could treat him.

You claim to have 25 years of nursing experience. Yet, you say: He had a wasting disease. What is your objective reasoning for that? You cite nothing. Didn't you learn the difference between subjective and objective data in nursing school or in practice?

Do you have any support for this subjective conclusion?

It is clear Prince did not have a wasting disease supported by the following.

We know at least a CBC was done on Prince the day before daeath and a doctor Dr. S. who also physically examined Prince said there was no problem. The doctor never stated Prince was abnormally thin nor did he suspect some wasting disease or the doctor would have told police or would sent Prince to a hospital. Prince was also phyically evaulated by emergency room nurse and doctor on April 15, 2016. The hospital reports are in the DEA file.

Doctor Notes – Emergency Room Moline 2:03 Am

Drowsy

HENT:

Head: Normocephalic and atraumatic

Mouth/Throat: Oropharynx is clear and moist

Pupils: 4mm bilaterally, reactive

Eyes: Conjunctivae are normal. Pupils are equal, round, and reactive to light

Neck: Normal range of motion. Neck supple

Cardiovascular: Normal rate, regular rhythm and normal heart sounds. Exam reveals no gallop and no friction rub.

No murmur heard.

Pulmonary/Chest: Effort normal and breathing sounds normal. No respiratory distress. He exhibits no tenderness.

Abdominal: Soft. He exhibits no distention. There is no tenderness.

Musculoskeletal: Normal range of motion

Neurological: He is alert and oriented to person, place and time.

Drowsy but follows commands.

Skin: Skin is warm and dry. No rash noted. No erythema. No pallor.

Psychiatric: He has normal mood and affect. His behavior is normal.

Nursing Note and vitals reviewed.

Labs Order Emergency Room Doctor Moline that Prince refused

CBC and differential – Red and white blood cell counts, hemoglobin, hematocrit – overall view of general health

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel – liver tests, kidney test, electrolytes, proteins, glucose, calcium levels in blood

UA Culture Sensitivity – chemistry of urine

Protime-INR – blood clotting enzyme made in liver

Troponin I – protein of cardiac/skeletal muscle

Ethanol I – Alcohol

Toxicology Screen, Urine

Acetaminophen level

Salicylate level – Aspirin level in blood

CK – test for level of enzyme Creatine Kinase in blood – high levels indicate muscle damage

Osmolality – sodium level/Concentration

EKG

Things that Prince Did allow

Cardiac Monitoring

Peripheral IV – sodium chloride bolus 1,000 ml

The Moline ER report lists Prince's weight at 117lb

The report release by the ME listed Prince's weight after death at 112lbs.

These weights are within the normal range of a 5'2" male.

Clearly they were concerned about the heart, the liver as a result of associated drugs included in the drug Prince told the doctors he took - Percocet, but which were stamped Vicodin but in reality were clandestine Fentanyl.

So tell me why your subjective conclusion should override these facts in the police file given by medical staff who actually saw Prince in person and treated him?

The most important part of information missing from police reports is (1) the autopsy and toxicology report after death (2) anyone who knew Prince in the 1980s letting the police know that the most significant person in Prince's life died on February 15, 2016. And that he had an extreme reaction to her death in Australia causing his sound man to quit him, and he flew to the SF area (where Denise/Vanity lived and her memorial service was held) in late February and early March and spent almost two weeks there performing three surprise shows. And then he went to Canada where Denise is from and performed 4 shows there. Then he called in sick in early April to manuver the date of the Atlanta show so he would be flying in the sky on the April anniversary of Vanity's death. (4) What was destroyed in the document shredding and computer files deleted after police turned Paisly over to Prince representatives on the day of death. What did Shelia E, Kirk and Phaedra destroy? Prince's autobiography? A written suicide note? A will? Unless they talk we will never know. Why arent they talking? What were in those documents?
