Is the '1999' Super Deluxe Edition a "Limited Release" ?

B4 anyone blasts me, I did search and posted this question on 2 other threads, but, no 1 has responded.

I emailed the Prince.com/store & was told they only know if something "is" or "is not" in stock.
I don't C this release being referred 2 as a "Limited Edition" anywhere.

Yet, it is "Sold Out" on the Official Site & "Not Available" on Amazon.

Does anyone know?

Thank You In Advance?

I don't know anything officially, but the supply of this release has been very scarce. It took a minor miracle for my copies to arrive in Australia. eBay may be your best option at this point.

I don't think it's limited, they just didn't want to overproduce. It's not unheard of for a box set to be scarce when they first come out, run out, and then the second production run fills the void and they sit on shelves collecting dust after that. I don't think we know it's like a low run exclusive item though, they didn't release it that way. Four years from now might be a different story though.

Has nothing to do with limited or lowered projections for production.

There's been articles about the bottle neck at the manufacturer, which is the only one used by all the big labels.

That's a US distribution company, not the manufacturer.
That might impact the availability in the US, but not Europe.

The box set itself looks like it's been made at Optimal Media in Germany, one of the few pressing plants with a fairly good reputation.
