Scene from PR Scene from PR where Princey is tossing up fathers music in air and flips out crying then smashes stuff in the room, glass shattering, pulling over shelves etc...
It’s reflective of that pain and anger we all have sometimes where we need to unleash it... let that stuff out. Dig? It is in that pain that’s our saving grace, maturity, etc.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Well, gee - thanks so much for explaining that to me. I've been watching that movie for 35 years and just had no idea.

I always thought it was interesting that, apparently, his Mom, who was portrayed as something of a party girl, managed to find the time to do all that canning and preserving. I mean there was shelf after shelf of those jars. And why did they do a chalk outline of someone who was still living?

LOLOL... i caught that too... and right before that, the heavy, unsteady breathing, while covering his hair covered ears, trying to block out the gunshot sounds and train noises in his head, and staring at the imaginary chalk outline on the floor... he nailed that whole scene like a true Hollywood superstar... i entered the movie theater thinking he was a little weirdo with a couple good albums under his belt... i left the theater with a new favorite celebrity/recording artist for life... I mean there was shelf after shelf of those jars. And why did they do a chalk outline of someone who was still living? That's because she was really wasn't going out to the bars. She was really just at a canning party with friends. They did all of that canning while getting pickled in the process! Domesticated drinking. The scene just got cut along with the infamous barn scene. Oh yeah and these cut scenes weren't really destroyed. The estate is keeping them along with "The Second Coming", the 3121 film, live video recordings of every concert, and everything else that we all imagine getting our eyes, ears, and hands on. It's all a big conspiracy to allow us to keep some money in our wallets.... [Edited 12/5/19 22:40pm] "As long as I can hear you smilin' baby

I'm loving the hidden canning/preserves narrative in this thread. Do you think all that making of preserves put too much stress on their marriage

Yes I thought that would have been obvious for Prince 101. Google where the film was set for Pete's sake.

- never understood, and never will why people feel the urge to react distructive or violent - that's not how I get angry and demolish stuff isn't that very childish to do so ? - if you don't know how to deal with anger you got a problem when smashing things up. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)
