I don't know, but the picture I have in my head of Prince during Christmas and holiday times is loneliness and a sad time for him. Christmas and holiday times are a time where families and friends get together, and Prince seemed like he alienated himself from both. He was a loner, and I think he cut himself off from family, and only associated with band members, and those he associated with in the Jehovah's Witness stuff. I don't think he had many friends, and he certainly didn't allow himself to get close to many people, if at all, so I'm guessing that Christmas and holidays were not good times for him. Now this is just purely speculation, but that seemed to be the kind of person that Prince was to me. Maybe Larry Graham and others invited him over for the holidays, but who knows if he went, or just stayed home at Paisley Park, or whatever? Anyway, I don't know if that was actually the case, but it's sad to think of him that way, if it were.

Why would Larry Graham invite him for Christmas when JWs do not celebrate it? For many of us, it's just another day we look forward to when all the commercialization ends.

That's why I clearly stated that it's was speculation on my part, not fact. I'm not a Jehovah's Witness, so I don't know what they celebrate or don't celebrate, I'm not familiar with the religion in that sense.......just making a comment to the question asked.

Some possibilties:

I think each year was different. I think he went to Puerto Rico one year to visit Mayte's family.

Didn't he put an ad in a paper one year as a very eligible bachelor?

Perhaps some trips to Turks and Caicos with staff/friends?

He probably went with current girlfriends to their family's festivities.

He was friendly with Manuella's brothers and parents. Probably spent 4-5 X-mas's with them.

Christmas' entire inception was related to gift-giving. Why do you even think the gift-giving is a thing? Directly because of the story of the kings bringing gifts. And given that the gift-giving has been occurring for hundreds of years (if not thousands), you may want to not hold your breath for it to all of a sudden stop.

Prince celebrated Christmas the majority of his life. Even wrote a song about it. Then again, he didn't like his family, most of his bandmembers had their own families, and he had no one to celebrate with anyway in his lonely ivory tower. You best believe that every girlfriend or wife he had also had Judeo-Christian, Christmas-celebrating gift-giving families.
