I take great, great pride in my kids’ liking of P music, even though they won’t come right out and say it. It’s not cool to like your mama’s music, but oh they do smile

He did it wrong. You start when they're in the womb.

Even though I'm 32, it doesn't feel like *that* long ago since I was basically in that kids' position with my Mum singing in the car (not to Prince, alas). So I do have some sympathy for their plight. lol

Lov3 it. See, what u do is sing something else but have the Prince cds, albums and streaming stuff off to the side. The kids will naturally gravitate towards him if u try to make them like some Lionel Ritche or whatever. You say "nah, u wouldn't like P" then BAMM they're hooked!

I may be guilty of the same thing! But then I hear my son humming a P song and it's all good.

Haha right. Plus the kids were exposed to crap music prior to Jerry's singalong.

looby

My kids grew up listening to Prince's music, because I played it around the house since the day they were born, but let's just say that they didn't take to it like I did. They are not fans of Prince and his music, but then again, I'm not a fan of any of the stuff they listen to either. lol

My 5 and 7 year old daughters always scream for me to turn my music off. However, the 7 year old requests Ruff Enuff regularly (and has stopped saying "no you don't!" to the "I got something, that'll make you move" line)

.

Slowly but surely there'll be more Prince going into their music diet... cool
