Is this New Yorker article true?

https://www.newyorker.com...prince/amp

2052. Canada, accepting the inevitable, cedes the lower half of its territory to migrant caravans from the United States. Prince’s single “Love EvN Sexier” becomes migrants’ unofficial anthem.

😳

Yes, it is! I’m a subscriber but hadn’t read this yet. Nice find and nice to see a whole piece based around Prince, however tongue in cheek it is...if it means new listeners, then great.

Basically, every unreleased Prince song in this context will be an edit of another Prince song, using the "WB can just issue a new Prince album with content from my vault every year" promise he joklingly said during the Prince vs. Warner battle.

In real life, we have the Originals series, since I heard there's demand for more volumes (and most of them will be demos of album tracks by The Time).

Crazy cool, these things :

2073. Last tuna-salad sandwich on planet is eaten by coal-industry lobbyist in Winnipeg, new U.S. capital. Realistic hologram of Prince accepts Post-Lifetime Achievement Award at Rock and Roll Climate-Controlled Deep-Underground Survival Bunker of Fame.

2083. Mass extinctions, desertification of Europe, nuclear war. Critical opinion of Prince’s newest, “Little Red Sustainable Electric-Powered Self-Driving Corvette,” questions album’s faithfulness to his original vision.

2085-86. Warmest nuclear winter ever recorded in Northern Hemisphere. Prince’s special “Dark ’N’ Ashy” Christmas album falls flat...."

Saw it on twitter last night, sounds like it was written by an orger lol I'm definitely on board with more playful/satirical articles like that. Humorous as Prince was, I feel that he would've appreciated stuff like that.

Hilarious article. Starts slow and a little lame, but then it's brilliant by the end.

Critics questioning faithfulness of "'Little Red Sustainable Electric-Powered ..." and the "'Dark 'N' Ashy' Christmas album" were two of my favorites, too. That all the stuff at the end about the bots. "Carbon-dioxide-breathing bots discover Prince, start their own Prince fan site" biggrin

Someone mentioned it might be an orger.
I wouldn't think Imago.
And I know it's not Illustrator/ The Mighty Celestial ☹️
