Has Prince ever mentioned anything about Roy Ayers?

I would like to think Prince dug his music. Ayers was around the same era as Miles Davis, Sly, James Brown, EW&F and etc...

I didn't do extensive research but I did find Roy Ayers 2016 interview where he mentions that he admired Prince, they never met but he did meet Lisa Coleman

I don't recall Prince mentioning Roy, but Roy did mention Prince...

Ayers continues on a stroll down memory lane as he recalls of his admiration for the late Prince. “I just found out Prince passed. He was a great artist and definitely an inspiration for me. I never met him but I met his people, like Lisa Coleman. She was wonderful, and still is.” He pauses for a moment and thinks to himself. A defeated sigh follows as he exhales to continue. “It’s a god darn shame to see Prince pass.”

Man....Roy Ayers and Prince working is making me salivate. That wouldve been magic. A vibraphone in P's music wouldve been interesting
