Anyone else read Prince The Life The Genius The Legend by James Court ?.. I was expecting just another story of his life that has been written about countless times before, I had also read the sample pages on Amazon and was in two minds however I have to say that its the most enjoyable and intriguing book I have read on him so far, and I have most of them.

It stays clear on any Gossip or private life and stays bang on the music and releases. It catalogues every single release and studio session and entwines it in real time, you actually feel you are moving forward with Prince as it goes along, its packed full of detail, dates and times. It also goes right throught the name change and focuses on his pursuit of artistic freedom using a a direct approach which of course woud eventually lead to the internet. Its a brilliant and facinating tribute. As a lifelong fam I would highly recommend it and woould be interested to see any other fams viewpoint on it.
