That NME article quotes her as saying she never wants to spend time with white people again. Hear that Ireland and Europe? No reason to support her appearances and concerts. You’re a fool if you do.

Although not as intense as the US, that word is still a rough one to use in the UK. Either way, one can tell a lot about the type of person who would use it.

For what it's worth, I'm not from the UK. I'm Irish. And here in Ireland, "cunt" is just as common as the word "fuck" and more often than not it's used as a term of endearment or, as I used it, mock outrage. In other words, it's not a big deal so those of you who were offended, you can stop clutching your pearls now.

This woman has a fetish. She's slandered Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. There's a pattern in her behavior. I believe she's holding a mentally ill grudge because she was rejected on a romantic level. And she knows she has an audience who'll eat this kind of sensationalized covert stuff up. [Edited 9/17/19 10:34am] Time keeps on slipping into the future...

I can count her claim to so much fame on 3 fingers she tore up a picture of the Pope on national tv, she covered exceptional well a very beautiful song, and she puts in overtime tearing down the reputation of a certain man or rather men. A true goddess. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

My father, aunts, uncles, cousins are either living in Ireland or have recently moved and I can assure you I have never heard any of them utter that word. I am just saying, that word is second in line re: it's demeaning content to the "N" word. Words are powerful and since we are an international fan base, I hope we can agree to leave it at home.

Weak. Just weak. You're not in Ireland. You're on a global public platform. Further, your reference to O'Connor wasn't a term of endearment, or even mock outrage. Your mind's a bit muddeld isn't it? [Edited 9/17/19 12:20pm] [Edited 9/17/19 12:26pm]

so we should now take care of using expressions and words that would surely not offend anybody on the whole planet at the same time? That's close to impossible and uncalled for.

No. How did you make that leap? I'm suggesting one exercise decorum and good manners. I know we're not all capable of this but why not try? The word "cunt" seems like a good example. It's just a tragic, depressing word. Could you find an alternative? Of course, the extent to which you're capable tells me a lot about you? Are you capable?

[Edited 9/17/19 12:20pm] [Edited 9/17/19 12:26pm] Eh, yeah, I'm still in Ireland though. And I'm Irish. So I do say things like this out of habit. I make absolutely no apologies to you or anyone else who is so offended by a WORD that is used so frequently in everyday life. And yes, my initial comment about Sinead O'Connor was mock outrage based on the comment I was replying to. A clear joke that some people on here obviously overlooked in an attempt to appear noble or something. I'll admit that when I was pushed to elaborate further on my feelings for Sinead O'Connor that I repeated the dreaded "C" word, this time in a more serious sense. But I'll reiterate that the reason I feel that way about her is not because of what she said about Prince. My reason for disliking her is based on what she said about me, behind my back. Bipolar or not, she is a mean spirited attention seeker who will say anything to get her name in the news. A two faced bitch who'll smile at you and tell you how great she thinks you are until she thinks you can't hear her and then she'll show you who she really is. And there is no better word to describe someone like that, whether they be man or woman, than the one I used, which I won't repeat for fear of making some of the easily offended among you faint in pure horror.

Well my entire extended family are Irish and they all drop cunt every other word these days. Half of Ireland seem to subscribe to the Facebook page 'Little Miss Cunty'. Mostly it's used humourously. Fine if you don't like it, but if we are going 'international' here, then we need to drop fuck, shit and bitch. [Edited 9/17/19 15:18pm] .

Many of my English-speaking non-American friends use the word cunt all the time, not just Irish, and these are of all layers in hierarchy or standing. Actually, many of the people from my own EU homecountry (non-English) use it so often in its translation. Get over it.
