She talked about this many times he was alive and he didn't sue. Considering the things he did threaten legal action over it should at least give you pause for thought. Now maybe he just recognised she had mental health issues and decided to let it be but I'm not so confident. I hope calling her names makes you all feel better though.
She's a mental cunt. Yep, that did make me feel better biggrin

FUNKNROLL

That NME article quotes her as saying she never wants to spend time with white people again. Hear that Ireland and Europe? No reason to support her appearances and concerts. You’re a fool if you do.

(American).

Although not as intense as the US, that word is still a rough one to use in the UK. Either way, one can tell a lot about the type of person who would use it.

For what it's worth, I'm not from the UK. I'm Irish. And here in Ireland, "cunt" is just as common as the word "fuck" and more often than not it's used as a term of endearment or, as I used it, mock outrage. In other words, it's not a big deal so those of you who were offended, you can stop clutching your pearls now.

This woman has a fetish. She's slandered Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. There's a pattern in her behavior. I believe she's holding a mentally ill grudge because she was rejected on a romantic level. And she knows she has an audience who'll eat this kind of sensationalized covert stuff up.

Of course it is because it helps keep a status quo. What other diagnosed mentally ill celebrity is held up so high and words taken as the stone truth?

You have to wonder if she's always secretly hated that song, and it was forced upon her by her label to sing it, only to have it become her biggest (maybe only?) hit in her whole career. Then it becomes know (to the public) that's it's a Prince song, and you're forever linked to him . . .

I'd imagine that with a certain mindset/psychologicial makeup, you'd want to tear down Prince so you can be seen on your own. But, in doing so, you're tearing down your only link to fame.

For all we know, she was crazed out of her mind and would not leave Paisley Park when asked. Maybe then it got physical, and her memory of it is skewed by drugs and paranoia. We'll never know!

She had more hits, altough not on that epic level. Mandinka probably second best known, and good.

NC2U isn't actually 'her' best song imo. That title goes to You Made Me The Thief Of Your Heart (full long version)

I love Mandinka, and I love The Emperor's New Clothes, among a few others. But NC2U was her biggest hit.

I can count her claim to so much fame on 3 fingers she tore up a picture of the Pope on national tv, she covered exceptional well a very beautiful song, and she puts in overtime tearing down the reputation of a certain man or rather men. A true goddess.

Which side of "Love or Money" the estate falls on, we will never know, but they are right not to respond. Responding would give credibility to Sinead, and just bring more focus and exposure to her allegations. The woman needs help, they know it, maybe even she knows it, but I would definitely say the world knows it at this point. The best thing to do is to do nothing at all. This stuff will go away just like everything else Sinead has said over the years.

So like I mentioned above, I don't know if they truly care about Prince, but a lack of response on their part would not indicate that one way or another, a lack of response is just the right, and smart thing, to do, because it will help break the cycle being perpetuated on this fiction.

All you folks on social media making videos about this and tweeting about this should take note, yes, you love Prince, you want to defend him, and nobody would blame you for doing so, but there is a good chance, although well intentioned, that your actions are just feuling the fire.

THAT right there is why I believe there is no response from the estate, they know it is fiction, we know it is fiction, so why feul the fire, why be on the defensive for something that one doesn't need to be on the defensive for.

peace

No. How did you make that leap? I'm suggesting one exercise decorum and good manners. I know we're not all capable of this but why not try? The word "cunt" seems like a good example. It's just a tragic, depressing word. Could you find an alternative? Of course, the extent to which you're capable tells me a lot about you? Are you capable?

Eh, yeah, I'm still in Ireland though. And I'm Irish. So I do say things like this out of habit. I make absolutely no apologies to you or anyone else who is so offended by a WORD that is used so frequently in everyday life.

And yes, my initial comment about Sinead O'Connor was mock outrage based on the comment I was replying to. A clear joke that some people on here obviously overlooked in an attempt to appear noble or something. I'll admit that when I was pushed to elaborate further on my feelings for Sinead O'Connor that I repeated the dreaded "C" word, this time in a more serious sense. But I'll reiterate that the reason I feel that way about her is not because of what she said about Prince. My reason for disliking her is based on what she said about me, behind my back. Bipolar or not, she is a mean spirited attention seeker who will say anything to get her name in the news. A two faced bitch who'll smile at you and tell you how great she thinks you are until she thinks you can't hear her and then she'll show you who she really is. And there is no better word to describe someone like that, whether they be man or woman, than the one I used, which I won't repeat for fear of making some of the easily offended among you faint in pure horror.

Well my entire extended family are Irish and they all drop cunt every other word these days. Half of Ireland seem to subscribe to the Facebook page 'Little Miss Cunty'. Mostly it's used humourously.

Fine if you don't like it, but if we are going 'international' here, then we need to drop fuck, shit and bitch.

Way too much attention on words today, words have power to those who give them power, simple as that. Words are a sound, words literally cannot hurt you. This nonsense is used as a diversion tactic to keep your eyes off more important things taking place in our world. People have been programmed to respond to these words in a certain way, and many have taken the bait hook line and sinker.

The problem is not the word itself, the problem is the person who is receiving the word. Why is it received in such a way.....THAT is what needs to be addressed, not the words themselves.

You can call my mother whatever you want, call me whatever you want, a word is a sound, and I give those words no power over me or anyone else. You wanna talk about how you did something with my mom last night? Good for you, I just want her to be happy, if you are that happiness for her, so be it! See? It's easy to rise above it all.

Hate away if you must, but I guarantee I wont take it personal or seek out a safe space because of the words you choose.

Many of my English-speaking non-American friends use the word cunt all the time, not just Irish, and these are of all layers in hierarchy or standing. Actually, many of the people from my own EU homecountry (non-English) use it so often in its translation. Get over it.
