She's told that story a lot of times, I would say he genuinely summoned her to his house and they genuinely had an argument about swearing, maybe even a physical one. She doesn't exactly put herself across as an innocent in the story and I can't imagine Prince was used to mouthy women talking back to him so who knows how he would have reacted back then.

I don't buy the rest of it (her knowing about drugs and him putting others in hospital) but, well, the reaction on here will start to make her look not so bad soon enough.

Media are just looking for clicks. As a Prince fan i'm not too worried, people know better than to take anything she says too seriously. Sinead makes great music but, to be honest, anyone who has her on as a guest on their show need to be really careful what they talk to her about or she starts on this stuff, they should know better. She now wears a (burkha or a) headscarf (don't know how it is called in english),

with rainbow (LGBTQ...) colours over it ?!

She always came over as being out of balance (and (very) angry).

I feel (very sorry) for her since she lost her mother when she was 18 or so.

Honestly that's a huge trauma for life.

I have to say, she's entitled to talk about events in her direct relationship with Prince as she lived through that and was specifically asked, but I take issue with multiple aspects..

1. It's quite twisted to dump on someone on a major national TV channel moments after you've sang their song that made your career. Either don't sing the song anymore or keep your nasty stories to yourself - can't have it both ways. Have some dignity! You could say that it was not a good meeting and leave it at that.
2. Additional comments about multiple other women being beaten? Hmmm, Prince had a close to 40 year career, had many female partners, friends, protogees, band members and employees, and has been dead for a few years now. No one has come forward and said a bad word about him. In fact, quite the opposite, . For Sinead to make these wild accusations that other women were beaten especially without Prince to dend himself - again, that just seems self-serving and frankly, c'mon you've just sang his song - show some dignity! Where's the evidence for that? Leave that to others to speak if it's true.
3. Whilst she's not a one hit wonder, Nothing compares to you is really the only song that the vast majority of the public would have any idea of. I loved Sinead before all that - I thought The Lion and the Cobra was an amazing album and I played it over and over for years. I was thrilled when she sang Nothing Compares 2 U that I was already well familair with from The Family. This song has made her career, admittedly she took it to new levels, but she is certainly NOT singing it better than in 1990. She doesn't go anywhere near the highs she did before, she's an octave lower. She survives on this song alone, but as sung in 1990. So I don't know what the fuss was about the performance that Piers Brosnan made before and afterwards was about.

She has been somewhat consistent with this story. SOMETHING happened that night. We'll never really know.

Sinead is not well and TV shows should not exploit her this way. She was a groundbreaking artist in her own right. Listen to Black Boys on Mopeds, Last Day of Our Aquiantance, Stretch On Your Grave or Mandinga.

I love Sinead, she's amazing. She's definitely been struggling with.... all sorts of things. I still love her, she's one of a kind and her voice just knocks me dead every time I hear her sing. I've got all her albums, she's great.

Of course it is a tempting story for every interviewer to chase up - it connects to her biggest hit single, and a famous pop star, so it is juicy and it keeps getting brought up. I've no idea if it is true, I wasn't there. I really hope it isn't true, but I'm not about to start victim-blaming or accusing her either.
