The 1,235th Emancipation thread.

This thing is just so much better than I thought it was 23 years ago. Not going to revisit the criticisms we've heard a million times or propose a one disc tracklist blah blah.

This is an important album in his catalog. Yes 3 albums. Just imagine if he had released these 36 cuts 12 at a time as albums. That's how I listen to it. 1 disc bites.

I used to hate the sterile production but it sounds pretty darn good to me now. I would love for today's POP music to sound like this than the auto-tuned dreck it has become.

With the reissue now out has anyone else rediscovered "Emancipation"?

36 tracks. I can't say I dislike any of them. Even "Da Da Da" works for me. Not great but catchy.

So where you at TODAY on "Emancipation"?

1. Loved it from day one and ain't a damn thing changed. One of his best.

2. Liked it at the time but only like partos of it today. Shoulda been 1 disc, etc

3. Didn't like it when it first came out but it grew on me. A good album

4. Didn't like it when it first came out but now think it's a mastperpiece

5. Always hated this bloated mess.
