I appreciate a lot of artwork has been used but a full sizes booklet would have also been very nice - but oh well.

Hello, I have looked at this very closely and compared to 1996 artwork.

I can't see any skewing of the image.

The central circle in the Symbol icon is not entirely circular as that image on the video is in perspective.

I didn't give my opinion on the sound because as you can see in the video, I literally took out of the box on camera. That's what an unboxing is. It's not an unsounding.

Yeah, agreed, Millitant makes a massive effort to keep Prince's legacy alive. I for one am very grateful.

You know, normally I'm kind of unimpressed with the gigantic artwork of vinyl but I really had no clue what was going on in that Chaos & Disorder cover before this video breakdown, it just processed as a big mass of mess to me before. Thank you, Militant.... I think I kinda like the cover now.

Why no new songs?

I do love Emancipation every year.

I asked Sony about this and they said at the moment they only have the go-ahead from the Estate to do reissues. This can stretch to things that were technically released but in very limited quantity such as "The Versace Experience" but as it stands, not to totally new compilations like WB did with "Originals" or things not released at all in any form.

I think it won't be too long before that changes because soon enough they'll have reissued everything. This year alone we've seen Musicology, 3121, Planet Earth, Rave Un2, Rave In, Emancipation, Chaos & Disorder and Versace. So that's a pretty hefty release schedule.

I don't know what's next but there's still TRC, 20TEN, Lotusflow3r, Crystal Ball that will hopefully all be in the 2020 schedule and then I imagine serious discussions will start about where they go from there.


I'd like to see some similar projects to Versace as well. Perhaps the NPG Sampler Tape or NYC Jam Of The Year/Face Down.

That's a very good point and it would indeed be awesome. I think that one would fall under the WB deal though, not the Sony deal.
