I got your back on this one. It's definitely timed for Black Friday on purpose. But I can't see myself rushing out that morning in search of a store that has the Super Deluxe CD version. I bought Piano & a Mic 1983 in a store the morning it was released, but 1999 is probably gonna have to be online.

I'm going to guess we've heard some of 'Rearrange', not in 'New Power Generation' but in 'Can't Stop The Feeling I got'.

Both 'Rearrange' and 'Can't Stop' were recorded in 82, and both reworked in 88/89; And the 89 'Can't Stop' has the additional outro not in the 86 rework...

interesting... out of the unheard songs elements of several found their way to released songs.


the fact that all the songs are documented and most have been heard in some form... makes me think that most of the content of the vault has leaked and most of that which has not is known. That there are few real surprises in it.

I think that's very true of the early vault. Much less is known from them mid 90's omnwards I think.

No review in the just released November 2019 issue of UK music monthly Uncut, but they've promised one for next month's issue.

I just listened to the CHUM radio interview with Prince from November 2011, when he'd just released the Extraloveable single. Interestingly, he says:

"I have 3 different versions of it, and this is the first one to come out. I'll release all of them eventually."

So if the estate really wants to respect his wishes, they should put it out.

maybe that houston show is all thAT WAS PROFESSIONALLY recorded...being that the summit recorded it ..not Prince

Someone posted on twitter only the remastered original 1999 tracks will be available for streaming not the b-sides or unreleased songs to get people to actually buy it...
