Do the estate/Paisley Park publicly issue their accounts? Basically wanna know if the Estate are actually making any money. In the grand scheme of things the music releases so far haven’t really sold that much.
Personally I think long term Estate might go bankrupt as the costs of running Paisley Park and restoration of the vault material, legal costs and marketing is likely to cost them more than what they can make.
With their current strategy I think they are screwed. Sad to say it but I hope they do go bankrupt so the music can be passed onto a philapthopic organisation that showcases his music properly. Thoughts?

I don't know how much money they are making but do you understand that their money doesn't just come from sales of new music? Every time somebody buys Purple Rain, streams a song or a song gets played on the radio, that's money to the estate. RIP  | |

I would imagine declaring bankruptcy would probably slow down the release of any music. That's a negative. Also with bankruptcy the music would considered assets that would be sold off to settle any debts which means the highest bidder would get ownership. That's another negative. And, don't forget....they don't let you in Paisley Park for free. The day we were there, people were circling the block waiting for it to be time for them to enter the parking lot. (I know, 'cause we were one of them.) The parking lot there is so small that you can't come through the gates until I think 15 minutes before your tour time, if I remember right.
