The title sounds so epic. But what did Prince anticipate with the title?

"Tell them you're going to the Crystal Ball" - Hot Thing. Ok, so he is referring the Crystal Ball as a event, I always pictured it as Cinderellas ball, but nasty.

"Expert lover, my baby. You ever had a Crystal Ball" - Crystal Ball. I don't really know what he is saying in the opening lines during the song. Is it meant to mean anything?

Is Crystal Ball a philosophic satement or simply a Ball?

i know what she looks like, thanks anyway. I've thought about the intellectual aspect too but that is out of character for him, most of his love interests were the beautiful but dumb types, not all but most and even towards the end, they were young girls who I don't get either. None of it made sense, goes for vanity too, yes, i know she was a beauty but a beauty with no brains is almost like being with a real life blow up doll. His taste just has always baffled me. The other thing that always confused me was how he got so much work done with all these women hanging around, people, not just women, tend to be pretty demanding with your time when they get into your life.
