Finally, after all this time...

Well, Boys & Girls-

After many, many months of hitting the album racks at flea markets & garage sales and the like.... I finally found the Parade album for my collection! It is in almost perfect condition, has the beautiful liner inside, and even had a plastic sleeve protector for it. The best thing was that it was only $18. Can you believe it?

We were on a short trip for our anniversary down at Branson, Missouri. I guess the rest of the hillbillies don't know good music when they see it. (I can say that, as I am probably as hick from the sticks as it gets, being from SW MO) I NEVER find a decent Prince album for sale anymore that isn't scratched all to _____.

Well, little family, I just wanted to share, as good luck like this is too much to keep to yourself. So, just keep digging at all those wierd sales; going through records and records that are not in alphabetical order, and you too may find a gem!!!!!!! (You don't know how sick my husband gets waiting for me to look thru 'em.)

Love & Peace,

SH

That is so great.
I sure hope you're not just going to look at it.
Get a good second hand Technics 1200 mk II, and you're in heaven.

Oh no Bon, I got a brand new turntable last year and I have spun it about 8 or 10 times already. Just can't decide which song is my complete fav. You just have to listen to an album as a true compilation, though...............What a great weekend.

I feel jealous in the most friendly way.
It almost seems like you're rediscovering Parade.
Bernie Grundman outdid himself when it came to Prince.
Enjoy, you Lucky Horse.

Prince always said his albums were like books - each song a chapter. Sounds like you are enjoying it the way he wanted you to smile

You are the perceptive one. I may be (gasp) closer in age to Prince than most of the people on here. When raising a family in the 80's and 90's, you buy backpacks and school instruments, not albums for yourself. I always wanted a decent-sized record collection of my favorite artists, so I am slowly doing that. Just guess who is #1????? LOL.
