Great Story From The Recent Pop Classics Magazine: Prince Made Peggy McCready Work On Her Birthday in 1982... ...so he recorded a song for her that day in January called “You’re All I Want”, a rockabilly tune, then gave her a cassette of the track at the end of the day, which she still has.
What’s amazing is that Prince would wear clothes sometimes to reflect the song he was working on. This day, he wore jeans, boots, and a black leather jacket, which he gave Peggy too. The jacket, sadly, she gave away soon after, never thinking it might one day be worth something... [Edited 5/30/19 21:50pm] [Edited 5/30/19 21:51pm]

You misspelled Peggy McCreary's name. Hell, you couldn't even get the title of the magazine right. And you don't mention its publication date. Great work. © Bart Van Hemelen

Thank you to the OP. I think what BVH was trying hard to say was thank you for providing new content to prince.org that is now sadly lacking in this area. Also thanks for alterting us to a fantastic little story of Prince that we never knew before !!!

Thanks, folks! I love hearing little stories like this.
Similar to the story when Lisa was living with him early in her time with his band and they sort of got on eachothers nerves one day and Lisa stormed off in a snit for a bit. When she returned hours later Prince played a song he had written and recorded for her that day a tune called STRANGE WAY (OF SAYING I LOVE YOU).

For the song Strange Way, Lisa left the house because Prince was in one of his moods, they had a fight, and he told her she had to find another place to live. His unreleased song Lisa is also said to have been about her. Seems he may have had a bit of a crush early on
