This was taken in the early 90s circa Diamonds & Pearls, right? Prince looks like he's posing as "Jamie Starr", but it's interesting he's holding a mostly smoked cigarette, since he apparently had a great disdain for them and fired roadies for smelling like an ashtray.

I am convinced this is not Prince - it may very well be Prince, there may very well be a host of witnesses who can testify this is Prince, there may very well be a sworn affidavit from Prince confirming this is, indeed, Prince, but this looks like the worst faked photo of the pair ever. To my eyes...and I have no reason to think this other than that, to me, in this photo "Prince" looks the wrong shape...this is not Morris and Prince.

It was widely circulated and stated it was Morris and Prince/Jamie Starr but I've also doubted it is actually Prince.

Definitely NOT from the 90s. This pic is early 80s. Morris Day did not look like this (his hair) in the 90's. Prince is dressed differently because this is Jamie Starr....meaning, different clothes and hairstyle.

This feels too much like Prince & Morris post 1984. Morris style here is how he was dressed post Prince on his 2 albums photoshoots. And Prince had the goatee in 1989-1990 not 1982

I can always tell Prince by his chest hair. That's him.

The 90s? BWWWHAHAHAHA On what planet?! What about any of that indicates it's from the 90s?????? You can tell by Morris's younger face alone it's about 10 years before your assumption.

One cannot be so dim to think Prince is smoking. He never even wore that many rings on the regular. It's called... wait for it... a prop. I would more think it's either an engineer's pack of Marlboros or Morris's (didn't he smoke? anyone?)


There are a million fucking things in that pic to show it's Prince as Jamie Starr. His body shape, his chest hair, his teeth, the hairline, his thinner arm/wrist.

That ain't "Jamie" with Roger, IMO. Nothing about that says he's in character.

Also - while it's probably not a bottle of ketchup on the left, it sure looks like it. hahaha WTF is that taller bottle with the white cap?

That's not the typhoon hair. You can believe a lie, or believe people that have seen the photo and know how it's been authenticated and documented. Or you can accept the truth.

Prince has been hot ironing his hair since God knows when so to think because you see some curling iron rolls up top that it's the 90s it just short-sighted and not well thought out.

Nah, it's the early 80s. Prince had long straight hair from 1988-1991. There's no reason he'd have had curls for some random picture during this time. Plus, Morris looks so much younger here than he did around 1990 (not that he looked terribly old, but we all change with time - and drugs). Everything about it screams 1982, as noted throughout the Org. Also, the thin untied necktie that Prince has on reeks of practically the same thing Morris wore in Purple Rain, and all of us were wearing in the early to mid-80s (present company included).

Look at his SOTT/Lovesexy photos, his hair is clearly using 'rollers' or something to get those big curls. The hair curl in this photo is more like the 1987-1990 look.

His hair was nver like that in the early 80s. 81-83. Do we know who photographed this? Allen was the primarily exclusive photographer for Prince during that time period.

Not to mention I've never seen any photos of Prince pre-1987 with a goattee

I mean Morris did start working (studio) with Prince again by late 87 into 1988
