I was just cleaning and dropped the worst triple cd ever made just poking
But... do they still sell these things? The case broke in like 25 pieces I'd rather get an original set again, not just replace the case with some imitation.
Haven't been around a record store in ages, but when i did, I haven't noticed this one anymore in a long time.

Alternatively, i could cut out the best songs from the 3 cds and glue them together and put them in a regular single cd case and thus make a best of single cd version - i bet nobody have thought of that before!

I actually ment: do they still sell the original CD or is it sold out and not available anymore in shops?
(i dont do amazon where i live, postage cost more than 2 original albums!)

Emancipation was in a standard 3CD case, wasn't it? Like the 4 cd cases, but without the option to put the cd on one of the two inside spots. Just order another one. If not, Emancipation used to be everywhere for a few euro, no idea if that's changed, but try local second hand shops and goodwill type places.

this is the ONLY prince album of mine where the physical copy is damaged.

it was the last time i let someone borrow a cd of mine. because back in '93
i lent it to someone and they returned it broken.

25 does seem like a whole lot of pieces

This was my first Prince album and I took it everywhere with me. I cracked the case several times and probably replaced it about 3 times.

They were on Amazon a couple of years ago, but I'm not sure what they are.

It's fairly easy to replace most CD cases, and even for a time it was very easy to pick up the Symbol case for next to nothing, the most important cases to keep care of are the official WB cases.

These have a WB logo etched into the plastic on the bottom corner. If you break these, it will be near impossible to replace!

However the main option would be to search for old 90s WB acts in second hand stores in the hope of finding one.

You can still pick up a copy of emancipation for next to nothing, might be actually cheaper than buying an empty case.

Poor Emancipation, so unloved

Incidentally, usually with these types of cases, you'll find the front and back parts are actually the same as the rear parts of a standard jewel case.

So as long as the plastic core hindge mechanisn is unbroken, you may find you just need to replace the front and back part with the back part of a standard jewel case.

In the past this has worked for me with different releases.
