20NINETEEN ..interesting article (in french) via Schkopi

In general things that we already knew ... but interesting:

http://www.schkopi.com/index.php/2019/01/news/20nineteen/

"In short, many assumptions and no certainty, but a reliable source close to the record and we will not name here to avoid the worst retaliation has still whispered in our ears that some unreleased "would be totally unknown to most fans hardcore. Suddenly it's safe, it fucks the pressure!"

According to the article,it will consist of material from 1995-2016. Sounds like it could be a compilation of unreleased songs. Thanks for sharing.

Could it be the Tidal album?

While the Tidal album is mentioned, the context of the quote above is in the section about the 1999 Deluxe, which this article suggests was completely sequenced before being pulled in favor of Piano and a Microphone 1983. Completely unheard outtakes from 1982 on 1999 Deluxe would indeed be a dream come true. The article also suggests that it may be slated for a mid-2019 release.

.
I guess if they are going to release '1999 Deluxe' it'll come out on 9/9/19 (which, in many countries, is written as 19.9.9.).

I wouldn't say that format is written in many countries. China and a handful of others.

RODSERLING

1995/2016, that is stretching the rope a bit too strong.
They should release instead what Prince wanted to release at the time.I m sure than 4 months after HNR2 (that was 3 months after HNR1) there was something already ready to be released as a HNR3 or Free Yourself album.
.
There are cover art existing from this.

Was no such thing planned... He was working on an album called Black Is The New Black that was supposed to have the song Free Urself.

It was speculated at the time that there was to be an album called FREE URSELF. Never confirmed though.
