autors of the song did take Prince to court.

Raspberry Berret The Buzzcocks Are Everything

Erotic City Laid Back White Horse

7 Heathwave Gangsters Of The Groove

This one borders on pastiche. I think it’s more of a deliberate nod to Voodoo Child as oppposed to a blatant rip-off.

The whole Lotusflow3r album is very Electric Ladyland.

The Everlasting Now Michael Jackson Burn This Disco OUT

I would agree with almost everything except this one.

If anything, Everlasting Now is very Santana-like but I think it has absolutely nothing to do with this rather unadventurous disco-funk tune from Off The Wall.

That Raspberry Beret/Buzzcocks one always makes me laugh, it's so definitely coincidental but you can't help but hear it.

What part? To me, they sound nothing alike... the guitar solo? Singing in a falsetto?

I feel it in my heart. Prince would understand.

Big Buzzcocks fan back then was she? With her classical training and barely knowing who Prince was when she met him? A real punk rocker. Or are we just looking for an excuse to bash Wendy and Lisa again?

LOL the electric guitar line in the chorus kinda sounds like the riff. That's hilarious, I never heard it before.

'Satisfied' sounds like parts of 'Goodhands Tonight' by Al Jarreau especially the gospel parts towards the end.

Housequake and Papa Legba (at 3:40) by Talking Heads

Papa Legba was released September 15, 1986

Housequake was recorded October 18, 1986

This is no coincidence.

Which is itself a winking rip-off of Little Queenie by Chuck Berry.

Listen at 2.40. I can't help but sing 'spirits move me, every time I'm near you' there every time

.

My mother was a big Barry Manilow fan so it struck me on first listen.

Listened through all of these. There are some similarities with other songs that are mostly due to genre traits.
The only one which seems to be an obvious rip off is the lead line to Rasberry Beret lifted from the Buzzcock song.
