Is there video footage of Days Of Wild from the crystal ball album? I've always wondered this because footage of The Ride was used for the most beautiful experience videos.

They're not from the same show and there's no such thing as a "The Most Beautiful Experience" video. There is, however, a "The Beautiful Experience" film but The Ride" ain't in it, the film you're thinking of is titled "Love 4 1 Another" and featured a different recording of Days Of Wild. . It's still unclear to this day how much was filmed multiangle and recorded multitracks. We do know for a fact that every show should have been filmed and recorded since quite early in P's career, if not since day 1 (the Capri Theatre first show ever is supposedly in the WB vault). But Scott said in an interview that some shows were only recorded in stereo (but not multitracks, so they couldn't be remixed for release), and I remember reading somewhere that not all shows were filmed multiangle (we know for a fact that many were single cam up until at least 1986). So to answer your question, yes, there is most likely a video footage of it, but it might not be multiangle. . Now on the other hand if the Estate is fine with releasing a monotrack cassette with tape hiss, I guess they might be open to release things even if they're not ultra clean, which is good news. The L4OA version is overdubbed with that guitar lick, I don’t think they’re really performing it on the film...it’s kinda like a music video.

That's what I thought for a long time but in fact the video is lipsynched on an actual audio live recording from an earlier show (possibly overdubbed, though, but additional sounds could also be samples played live) A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Is that a fact? I don't care much for videos because I don't watch shows often, I'm more of a listener, but of all possible Prince shows to have in video, that's the one for me. I would kill my mom for that! Wait, no, she already dead! My dad then. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I was at that show and they obviously filmed the first portion and at one point they stopped filming. I think Prince even says so on the audio recording before the Ride. I don't remember them filming after that point. TRUE BLUE

True! I would at least like to see the show up to that point unedited. Such a great night! TRUE BLUE

I was there also. He stopped so they could reload the film. The whole show was tapped. During None Of Your Business or Whta’d I Say they were showing some of the live feed on a large video screen at the back of the stage. U might not like the taste, but I'm still going to stick your face in this Funk
