thanks for posting this. I love stuff like this and love this era and this album. I know people love the Revolution but this period was the first time I felt Prince had assembled band worthy of his music and talent.

Certainly my favourite Prince backing band - and easily the best rhythm section he's ever had. It doesn't get better than Michael B. and Sonny T.

I'd add Tommy Barbarella to that list, too. I'll take him over Renato any day. I'd also say that Levi was one of he most talented people he's ever worked with in general.

F'n brilliant album. TGE, 3121 and prince were his most complete post 80's albums imo. I revisit each one of them every few months.

Eye Hate U is one of the Princiest things he ever created. Perfect track, all the way down to the angry sex guitar solo at the end.

I'm totally getting this book next. I was a big Prince fan in the 90s when I was a teen so this book will be like going back in time. biggrin
