Did Prince ever do the splits whilst playing guitar? That would have been SICK! I was just imagining him playing guitar and dropping into the splits and smoothly sliding back up, without missing a beat. I got two sides... and they're both friends. | |

He got up from the splits holding a guitar at the beginning of the Gett Off video, but I expect it was quite awkawrd to hit it properly, holding a guitar. | |

Prince did this many times in concert in the early 80’s. Fortunately I was able to witness some of those shows. This was part of his appeal then. He’d go from one instrument to another in the middle of a song that he and his band would be performing. Prince’s shows were so spectacular. I’m so appreciative that I was able to see him in concert many times over the years. If you look around their is footage of Prince playing guitar and doing the splits in concert. |

As mentioned, Prince rose from the floor doing the splits while holding the guitar in the "Gett Off" video, but the most impressive splits I've seen him do was during the Nude Tour when he did the splits with the microphone going between his legs as he's doing it. That's the greatest splits I've ever seen anyone do. |

I actually saw a video of latter day Prince on stage with Damaris where he is lying on the stage and whlie Damaris is fanning him he rises up as if from a half split... no hands on the floor to help him up... and I wondered did he just do that with a hip replacement ...can anyone place that video ...I checked my you tube history and i cant find it | |
