I'm sure he lost some of it as he started getting thinner. He was 51 by then, and I believe would have his hip surgery the next year. Most men lose the extra "cushion" there after age 50. i am not ignoring that bodies change throughtout our lives. i am ok with that for everyone.

but he has no bottom worth mentioning during this period around 2009, but boy he came

back with W2A tour. he looked 1978 healthy during W2A.

You know, being that he had his hip surgery in 2010, he may have been doing stronger doses of pain meds around 2008-2009. I imagine the pain got pretty bad by that point, which may have coincided with additional weight loss.
