Don't Let Him Fool Ya from 1980 (not 1982)? I was relistening to Don't Let Him Fool Ya recently and noticed how strongly it musically resembles 'Lisa' from the Dirty Mind sessions of summer 1980, from style such as the falsettos to the instruments. It also bears some resemblence to Partyup, also from sessions from that era. On PrinceVault though it is listed as from 1982 - just curious to know if this date is from an official source or is it pure speculation? If speculation perhaps we should list this as summer 1980?! The other possibility could be that Pvault is referring instead to another version from 1982 that hasn't leaked?

. The synth work seems more sophisticated than what appeared on DM, and it has that Controversy-era-ish guitar work. . At the same time, he didn't fully break away from his post-disco self until sometime in mid-1982, so dating by ear is apt to be imprecise. . It is at least remotely possible. Even the source of the leak /resembles/ the source of 'Lisa', and 'Rough', for that matter, as well. . I don't feel that it is part of the DM sessions tape that is in elite hands, but the song could plausibly be from Late '80 - Late '81, rather than '82. . You will face considerable abuse if you challenge or even gently question the canonicity of PrinceVault. . [Edited 9/7/18 14:59pm]

^ Thanks for that info.
I'm not attacking them I'm just curious where they get the information about the recording sessions from, are they all documented or are some dates assumed?
It's a very useful site but it also needs revisions from time to time based on new information. Remember when they had to totally add new songs that weren't known about / change the recording dates for songs such as We Can Fuck once the PR Deluxe release came out. What do I do if I want them to check and review it?
