Prince, Prince and The Revolution, Prince and New Power Generation

So me and a few friends were having a little tiny debate about Beyonce and Destiny's child. We were debating if her hits WITH DC should be counted with her solo career and of course my ain't shit friends had to bring Prince in it haha.

So the debate was Should Prince's efforts with The Revolution, NPG, and .....them lil white girs (Idk know their names I'm sorry) count to his solo efforts or not?

Those Prince albums were, for the most part, solo records anyway. He wrote the songs and was the main creative force behind those songs. So they are Prince songs.

Beyonce, on the other hand, had no major creative input on Destiny Child's output. At least, not any more than the other girls in the group. Their producers would have been responsible for the majority of those recordings. That's how pop music works, especially for girl groups like Destiny's Child. Maybe Beyonce might have played a bigger role in their later recordings after she became the bigger star, but I'd doubt it. So Destiny Child songs would not count as Beyonce songs.
