Book "Prince: The Last Interview" out March 2019

I was looking to see if there was an update on the release of Prince's memoirs, and discovered there is a book called Prince: The Last Interview coming out next March. Here is the blurb:

A collection of the very first, the very last, and the very best interviews conducted with Prince over his nearly 40 year career.

There is perhaps no musician who has had as much influence on the sound of contemporary American music than Prince. His pioneering compositions brought a variety of musical genres into a singular funky and virtuosic sound. In this remarkable collection, and with his signature mix of seduction and demur, the late visionary reflects on his artistry, identity, and the sacrifices and soul-searching it took to stay true to himself.

U been bamboozled, hoodwinked, took.

Just from the feel of it this seems like a bullshit product. Of course a lot of people are capitalizing on Prince's death and releasing Prince related items. That being said you can still release quality and worth while stuff (Picturing Price and Prince A Private View come to mind).

A collection of interviews, zzzzzzzzzz. Of course I could be wrong but I don't imagine anything new for the die hards.

Why does Julia Child look like Mrs Brown?

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I've probably read/heard 95% of them and with a very few exceptions, Prince interviews were terrible: he'd rant about the same old things (majors, the internet, analog sound, real music by real musicians; God and so on) and confuse the interviewer with cryptic or ambiguous statements. He would hardly ever say anything that would shed light on his creative process, or his personal life, and his refusal to address anything from the past made it even more difficult.

Given that, I am very intrigued by what the content of his memoir could have been, and curious to see if the 50 pages he wrote made more sense that his interviews. If he at long last actually said something about himself and his creative process in that book, his passing without finishing writing it could be one of the most tragic aspects of his premature death.

You'd have to presume his memoir would be full of the usual cryptic mumbo jumbo, along the lines of his interviews.

.

One of his best interviews was the pulled Ebony one from Dec 2015. He was unusually open and maybe he did think they were talking 'off the record' that's why he pulled it

And I really don't care about the cover. In the book, the most important thing is inside! wink
