I know for a fact that Sly s "manager" ( an honorific Name) reached out Prince After à gig in 1990. Hé told him that Sly was willing and able to make à musical collaboration. Hé gave Prince his number phone. . Sly used to call Prince "his brotha". . Prince never called back. This "manager" thinks that Prince must have thought it was a joke, because in 1990 everybody thought that Sly was Dead or almost. . Larry told Prince horrendous stories about Sly, and yes, Larry hates Sly to death and Will never forgive him. . Sly never recorded anything good in the last 30 years. I know there are a lot of spéculations about this "vault" including hip hop/ rap songs, but that s BS. Some of this stuff has leaked or has been released, and it s an embarassing material.
WOW...very interesting!!! Thanks RODSERLING ...Sly for me is an obsession and a enigma ... the creator of masterpieces , a miracle of the nature , a REAL GENIUS like Prince.. its a shame the drug issue

When I listen to Sly or the P, I always get the idea that Prince really didn't do much that Sly of George hadn't done before. The difference is that Prince could do all by himself what George Clinton needed twenty or so musicians for. This doesn't make one better than the other. It just means that Clinton was a great organizer while Prince was a great one man band.
Prince was an innovator from my point of view and CREATED a new style of music called...Prince.
no, but dorothy parker sped up sounds like thank you fallentinme bemiceelf.
where could one hear this??
i don't know, you'd have to tweak it like i did, i had a tape player that had a button for fast dubbing. So, unless you had equipement for it you probably can't. but just listen to it at the tempo it is, you can here the similarity.

Sly Stone is alive and, for the most part, well, and living in a borough of Los Angeles. He has had many offers for comeback opportunities, including the R&R Hall of Fame show (originally a Sly & co. reunion was planned) and a TV performance with Prince and Lenny Kravitz and has turned them all down. Apparently he has been straight for several years now, leading a relatively chill life, helping to lead AA meetings and keeping close contact with his brother Fred, who is now a minister. When asked about why he isn't cashing in on a comeback attempt for his fans, he stated that he belived coming back in the spotlight again would cause the drugs to come back too.
