And to promote the upcoming Bowie box set release:, Prince estate please take notice, this is how you should PROMOTE.

To mark the release of the upcoming LTA box, the October 2018 issue of @rollingstonefrance has a 6-page cover feature by Denis Roulleau about Bowie’s 80s. We’d like to tell you more about it, but it’s in French. Perhaps find out more about the issue here:

Issue 45 of UK magazine Classic Pop has a cover story about the new album plus more: https://www.classicpopmag...-sale-now/

.

We also find out what life was like inside Prince‘s backing group The Revolution from band member Lisa Coleman and hear from the Purple One’s archivist Michael Howe about further unreleased material from the legendary singer.

Haven't you heard about the german Rolling Stone magazine issue promoting the Piano & Microphone album with a world exclusive single and prince on the cover? It's out now.

Yes I have, because I'm the one who posted it in this thread...

But really the promotion of the Bowie estate is on a whole different level, they are promoting a box set, not a 35 year old casette tape.

Again I was right from the start : this release is selling much more than what à 1999 would have sold. . Numbers projected of 33/38.000 copies in pure sales (no streaming) according to HDD, at #7 of the charts sales. Thèse numbers are slighly higher than that of the PR deluxe (not to be confused with the added sales of the original albums like Feeluup Always do) on the 1st week of release. [Edited 9/27/18 0:23am]

Tell me ROD, where in any chart does it say PR DELUXE sales not including PR original album sales... It doesn't, it simply combines them both since it's a reissue of the album with the same name, so in that case we don't know what sold what, only a total.

So if it says PR DELUXE sold X amount of copies in the the first week, there is no indicator on ANY CHART that states including or not including sales from the original PR. You muppet.

No, like I told you and sourced à thousand time, but apparently you Can t read and You Can t understand, HDD reported only the 2 and 3 CD deluxe numbers, while soundscan separated physical and streaming sales, and published regular numbers about the vinyl sales of Purple Rain.
.
Hard.cold.facts.
.
You are repeating the same Old crap again and again. I won t spend one more second to read you, that s ludicrous. Good-bye.

.
I still didn t buy it nor listening to it yet, but I Will. Good commercial and artistic operation for WB and Prince legacy.
.
Nobody in the press could dare to say this album is crappy, even if it were the case (and maybe it is)! That s how it Works for this kind of musical material, and for once it benefits to Prince.

you know, i'm starting to think you might be right

omg omg omg

but you won't get an apology from me until a 1999 deluxe is released and sells less smile

I hope WB Will be conforted to release more. 1999 deluxe or any deluxe album à la PR deluxe would be great.

DUHHHHH RODDY BOY, DUHHHHHH.

So when I posted the HDD numbers why do you tell me I added the original PR to it? I posted the HDD own numbers for the deluxe sales, it was you who insinuated that I added the original PR numbers, even though I posted the HDD first week numbers which is exacty what you explained above. You are really delusional kiddo.

I posted exactly what HDD post exactly what you just stated then you accuse me of adding the original PR numbers to it, wow. You're special ROD, you really are.

There's no actual code as such. When you visit the Estate shop via clicking on the "10% off" link within the first email sent from the mailing list, it's applied to any purchases you make - apart from records and CDs, which is a bit crap.

Both interviews are fairly superficial and don't contain anything that you haven't read hundreds of times before. The one with Lisa Coleman barely touches on P&AM1983.

This new release will make a lot of unknown clueless people realize that Prince was a BEAST on EVERY instrument he picked up. Not just the guitar. The keyboards is my favorite instrument he brilliantly played. I’m glad he went out playing his signature keyboard chords into the afterlife.

Agreed. I personally don't think his decision to do the P&M tour in 2016 was random. The Piano was the first instrument he played, and it became his last to play for his fans. Beautiful.

EXACTLY! It really was a full circle moment in his too short of a life and career. But it was a perfect ending professionally to end where he started at.

Having it be his last way to play was random. He wasnt planning to be dead and have the last tour as his swang song.

Not donig that at all. However, he clearly was not doing well, and it is likely that he also knew that.

I don't know this for a fact but wasn't the decision related, at least in parts, to his illness? Sitting on a piano was likely to cause less pain than jumping and dancing while playing the guitar. He also played the keys instead of the guitar in his last few band shows with Neon and Kirk (and I so wish we'd had more of that, for he was amazing at the keys).

Yes, my belief is that he still wanted to perform, but was not physically strong enough to perform they way he normally would. Lisa Coleman stated that when she had heard about his plans to do the P&M tour she was very worried, because she knew that would not have been typical for him. Judith Hill stated during one of her conversations with him (may have been on the plane to Atlanta) he told her that he was sleeping a lot. His chef just appeared on 20/20 last night stating that she was very worried about him, and she felt that he was fading away.

*

I think it's safe to presume that if all of the people around him knew something was physically wrong with him then he surely knew as well.

*

Yes, he was amazing on keys, and I hope they do a release of his P & M tour too.

I do believe that Prince knew his body VERY well. He knew it was breaking down and possibly had a six sense of him not having much time left. But that doesn’t mean he wanted to die or commit suicide! Like some other rude person here is trying to insinuate we’re saying. He had MANY plans and he wasn’t done on earth yet.
