This might be cool. Good concept for an indie movie.

That’s very cool indeed!

Interesting, wonder what gave them the idea to do this? Cool idea!

I had a long phone conversation with the screenwriter back in January.
At that time, they'd recently made a trip to Sheridan to do all the research. I believe they are approaching this the right way and I look forward to it! |

YEOPThe movie will focus on the herculean effort that went into organizing an event that brought the 5’3″ purple-clad rock icon to a small cowboy town and established his date as a reluctant media sensation. As the article implied “behind the scenes, coke-fueled chaos reigned.” This added to the complexity because though Prince died from an accidental overdose of the opiod Fentanyl at age 57 (he took the drug to dull the pain from the physical toll of executing his manic dance moves and jumps wearing his ever present high heeled boots) — Prince at the time was a teetotaler who actually fined his guitarist Wendy Melvoin for drinking a Bud at the bar with Joni Mitchell that night. The publicist Banks will play, Robyn Riggs, was no choir girl, and in one humorous part of the article, she and Barber were about to light up a fat joint to end their time together, when Prince came knocking on the doo

I have to say that it is the coolest Prince related thing I’ve heard in months. Let’s just hope that they get to do it and... it’s better than Under The Cherry Moon!

This sounds like it might be good if handled right. Sort of reminds me of the way I Wanna Hold Your Hand was done regarding the Beatles. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Here’s a free idea for the estate: work with these people, fill the soundtrack of this film with unreleased 85-86 music (it’s freaking awesome!) and release a special edition of Parade with the music of the new film. Make a big thing out of it!

That's a great idea! | |

This would be amazing. In reality, we'd be lucky if we got some kind of 1986 piano rehearsal instead

Must be the first in 32 years that the people of Sheridan will have seen a camera crew! If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

would be bad if they tried to cut in some of the mtv footage or concert? Work with the estate and/or mtv for the footage, maybe some stuff they didn't air... usually known as "Leaped7689"

Very interesting idea, potentially great. I'm not a fan of the title though, it reminds me of the horrible TV show from the 40s. Hundalasiliah!

So this will either be really good (500 Days of Summer) or unwatchable (The Disaster Artists). Hope for the former! My password is what

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
