Your all welcome for my review. Glad it brings smiles to people reading it. I just wanted to re-emphasize one thing. Since April 21st 2016 my heart has had a hole in it. Yes it has healed with time but it still feels bruised. Prince's music and message have been adopted in so many things in my life during his lifetime and since his passing. When he passed I felt a sudden rush of color escape my life. Life and eveything was just a little bit more muted. Yeah life moves on and we cope the best we can. But when I was at the 4U concert watching our guy fill the area with love and music I, for a few minutes, forgot about the emptiness and pain of knowing our man had passed. I felt him alive and ever present. For the first time in 2+ years I felt complete again. I felt the power of his music and felt whole. Trust me it was one of happiest moments of my life in the last 30 months. I didn't miss him because I felt like he was there! Check it out for yourself

Yes, it was beautiful, spiritual, heart-warming, and healing. šŸ’œ

I am so glad you got to go and feel that emptiness lift
For a bit and that is what attending the Celebrations they hold
Does for the weekend you are there. Everyone is awash in his color
Nothing is muted, the city embraces and knows why you came it is so warming
The hotels the bars the restaurants all know why you wearing purple
And somehow you feel him next to you. Iā€™m so glad this 4u is allowing that lift
Of emptiness to be accessed by many.

Thanks for this Latin! I really want to go and hear this rendition but I haven't seen any word on added dates that include the west coast at all.

Went last night in Lynn, MA and had a blast. Audience was cheering and dancing. It's a celebration of the man's music and it's fun. Prince's drum machine is the back bone to a lot of the songs and there are a few where the symphony plays along to live recordings of the Revolution.

The 15 minute closer of Purple Rain is pretty epic.

Recording coming soon.

Damn, publishing the set list gives it away. This thing is emotional and meant to please the hard core too... I mean... ā€œIt Ainā€™t Over Till The Fat Lady Singsā€?

They freaking played the entire unbroken sequence of the opening of Parade, with the full Clare Fisher arrangements.

They actually stop playing to show the famous clip of Prince performing ā€œBaby Iā€™m a Starā€ from the Purple Rain tour... in respect... like Behold!

And there is a drummer, saxophone, keyboardist, so itā€™s more like a beat driven Prince concert than you might think. Itā€™s full speed.

i went to the show Saturday night in Lynn, MA too and I have a little bit of a different take. The music was good, but it felt strange to watch Prince's music and seeing random video's of him throughout the show. The Orchestra did a fantastic version of "The Beautiful Ones" and they also did some long versions of some of the songs that the audience seemed to lose (Let go Crazy and Little Red Corvette) seemingly because they only know the regular versions (i personally thought that was great), and at the end a truly fantastic version of Purple Rain (with Prince singing and video and everything). I walked out feeling a little disappointed and missing Prince's voice during most of the songs

Glad that somebody caught it. What a horrible article. If Prince fans that went to this event liked it that's all that matters.

Exactly...and it sounds like "by the end people were dancing and singing, and even offering clamorous applause during bows" people did enjoy themselves, so who cares what that writer had to say.

Issues ranging from the lack of a program, sparse merchandise, low-quality video production and a legally non-contentious song selection expose ā€œ4Uā€ as an attempt to keep overhead low while rushing a product to market.
